Michael Jackson Guardianship Papers Filed

Michael JacksonA guardianship petition has been filed for Michael Jackson's children by Katherine Jackson, the grandma.

She is asking the court to appoint her as the guardian for all three kids.

The petition states the kids have "no relationship with their biological mother."

According to the petition, the kids are in the care of Katherine and they have "a long established relationship."

The petition says the value of Michael Jackson's assets are unknown at this time.

Debbie Rowe is named as mother of two children in the petition.

As for why Katherine thinks it would be "best" to appoint her guardian, "Minor children are currently residing with paternal grandmother. They have a long-established relationship with paternal grandmother and are comfortable in her care."

The petition says it's "not known at this time" whether the mother (Rowe) agrees that Katherine should be the legal guardian.

Michael Jackson and KidsAs for Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II -- MJ's third child -- the box where it says "mother" is checked "none." The DOB is listed as January 21, 2002.

A hearing is now set for August 3 to hear the petition.

46. Aren't the "Grandparents" the same two that have been accused of physically abusing Michael -- which may have ultimately contributed to Michaels abuse of prescription drugs and in turn, his death? They are unfit in my opinion.

47. Grace Rwaramba get Debbie Rowe, MJs attorneys, MJs staffers, Quincy Jones, and everybody else influential to the welfare of these children....get them in your court......file for guardianship and don't back down until it's done.
Joseph and Katherine Jackson must not have these children...none of the Jacksons should.
You can give them a normal genuine life.....a good stable life....and may it eventually be outside the United States....
sorry hate to say that.......but that's best for these children......not secluded and hidden.....just remote and stable.

48. 18. Is the whole thing a fake? There are a number of reports going round that he faked his death to promote the new album entitled 'Resurrection' and will dramtically appear in a few days time. 49. I think Katherine should get the kids. I think that is what Michael wanted.
I hope she and the former nanny can get together to get them taken care of. It is reported that the nanny is the only mom they have ever known.
Since Debbie Rowe supposedly said Michael is not the biological father, these kids will likely have problems no matter what happens from here on, no matter who cares for them.

There must be thousands of them, surely. Since they're such a close, loving family.

Please. please, please let the biological father be a decent man and come forward to care for these children.

51. Katherine and Joe Jackson are separated, folks!

Still, at 79 Katherine is too old to raise three young kids. They don't need to lose another parent in 10 years. What a mess...there really aren't any great options. LaToya is wacko, Rebbie has already raised her own kids plus Janet's secret daughter, I don't think Janet will want to take on three kids because of her lifestyle. What about one of the brothers? Some of them have to be married with kids. One of them should offer to adopt the kids, rather than let their poor long-suffering mother take on such a big responsibility in her golden years.

And if Debbie Rowe demands a DNA rest, then all hell is gonna break loose because it's obvious that MJ is not the biological dad.

(Incidentally, TMZ, this story is written horribly!!)

Yeah, because we saw the massive amount of "grieving" Joe was doing on the Red Carpet, which is, after all, the traditional "grief" venue. Poor Joe -- doing "great," smiling, chuckling, preening, plugging his new company. Gee, he could barely contain his "sorrow".

56. just like Anna Nicoles kid went to the biological father even though he had no contact with her, the paternal parent should have first right to custody if they are of sound mind and thoroughly checked out by childrens aid.

57. This is a temporary move until the will is read. It makes sense. It also establishes custody in the event Katherine is challenged. No way can a 79 year old woman take care of those kids. Why hasn't one of Michael's bros or his sisters stepped up. I was hoping Janet would. She was the only one close to Michael. The reason they said, "None" for the younger son's mother, is because either Katherine and the family don't know or the mother is deceased. Personally, I think she doesn't know. That family was not close to Michael and they knew very little. I think he was close to his mother, but he wouldn't want too many of his family members around those kids. He sure wouldn't want Joe near them.

I totally agree that it makes no difference if MJ is the bio father of those kids, legally he is thier father, and they only know him as thier father, and Im sure he loved him..But wether or not Joe "beat" his other grandchildren, doesn't mean he won't mentally abuse and use these kids (since they are MJs kids) to get his hands on any and all of MJs assests. I wouldn't trust him any further than I could throw him. And grandma allowed the abuse of her own kids..so why would you think she would stop Joe from abusing these kids???I don't care if they are seperated or not, he'll still be around!

59. The only way we will know "what Michael wanted" would be if the man was responsible enough to create a will with intended guardianship papers attached and had it socked away someplace safe (read NOT in his rental house ahem) with his lawyer.
I do hope he did that for his kids sake.
