139. who would,ve thought carrie was too posh to push/get stretch marks/sore boobs/anything that got her through giving birth the last time. "has carrie become a hollywood mom?" ie wants kids but not much to do with them. after all, that's what a nanny is for! you fly them to go and pick up baby al-a madonna!!!! makes me sick. other single parents can't adopt so why should she???????? MONEY! and that's all it comes down to! makes me sick!!!

140. SJP has stated that after her son was born they tried for some time to get preg. again. Not able to. So chose the surrogate way. The reason for twins in older women, it is hrder to get preg. but the older eggs are more likely to result in twins. Using IVF - if you are in your early 30s or younger the doc will usually insert 1 fertile egg. If you are older that 35, viable eggs usually decline. In which case the doc will insert 2 fertile eggs. IVF does not always take. Also I would bet that most of the hollywood actresses who had twins probably had IVF.

I don't know the reason they used a surrogate but a guess may be that SJP is over 40 and even if she is physically able to get pregnant, the risks of birth defects and other complications goes sky high as you age. I think she's what, 42 or 43? the risk of Down's Syndrome alone is 1 in 50 at that age--that's a pretty big risk. So maybe these more 'mature' female celebs are choosing to adopt or use surrogates to minimize that risk.

You are correct. A woman's ENTIRE set of eggs are created at an early age, so they age with you. Eggs over age 40 have a higher risk of having chromosome disorders like Down's Syndrome. There is a new technology were younger women can extract their eggs and freeqe them, so if they decide to have kids when they are over age 40 it will be with the eggs of a 20 year-old.

SJP claimed that she had a lot of problems getting pregnant. SJP MIGHT have used the other woman's eggs to increae the chance of a healthy child that will survive the pregnancy. They are twins because to use a surrogate, you have to undergo IVF. During the IVF process, you end up with MULTIPLE fertilized eggs and you get to "select" how many fetuses you want to carry . OctoMom choose to use all her fertilized eggs, most other people like SJP undergo "reduction" (polite term for IVF abortion). That's why I always found it odd that people who are anti-abortion are fine with IVF. You end up "aborting" the other fertilized eggs by flushing them down the drain.

142. P.S. It's not just Hollywood people that use surrogates. It has been the hottest thing in the last 10 years for wives of Wallstreet and hedge fund bankers to use surrogate instead of "stretching" their own bodies or losing 9 months. It's pretty expensive but they could afford it with all those bonuses, before the economy crashed. Ask any Ob/gyn in NYC!

144. If the rich and famous dont want to be like the rest of us peasants and actually carry their own children, why cant they go to an orphanage and give a lonely child a home?? There are orphanges all over the world and lots right here in the USA. But no they mix a baby like a cocktail! One part SPERM DONOR, ONE PART SOME OTHER WOMANS EGGS, MAYBE EVEN YET ANOTHER WOMANS WOMB, AND ONE GREEDY DOCTOR COLLECTING THE CASH TOO. Do they think these bought and paid for babies will look like them? have their DNA? carry on their heritage? Children of sperm donors and donor egga could wind up marrying their own brothers or sisters and not even know it. This is so disgusting and so against God. Most of us look like our parents for a reason, that was Gods plan. He didnt even invent money, we did.

146. Another case of "octomom". Have any of YOU noticed the percentage of twin births in the hollywood community. There must be chicanery involved for that high a percentage of twins. MUCH, MUCH higher than the population in general. And don't insult me by saying it is because they are so "EVERYTHING".

147. This is another case of "octomom" revisited. Have NONE of you noticed the ultra high percentage of twin births in the hollwood community? There simply MUST be chicanery involved for this many twin births. Far far higher than the twining percentage of the rest of America and the World as well. There has to be something phony going on. AND don't insult me that the twining percentage is because they are "EVERYTHING" and "THEY ARE THAT MUCH BETTER THAN THE REST OF US". Don't even try it.

148. SJP had trouble conceiving after she had their son. Its been covered by media interviews. Why is that so hard for some people (haters) to understand?
Its been documented they paid their surrogate the normal, going rate enforced by surrogacy agencies. When broken down by the hour, that rate is usually below minimum wage.

So no- the richies didnt "buy" their baby. And no one avoided pregnancy to keep their figure. What a load of ignorant people posting here....
