48. Thanks #19, I thought maybe it had something to do with trouble concieving again after their first. Couldn't imagine what else the reason would be to use a surrogate. SJP doesn't strike me as the type to be worried about her body image or weight gain so I just didn't think that was the case here. Except I did think maybe since they must have wanted twins that the issue of carrying them may have been a little about her body and career. (Not wanting to be stretched to that limit or maybe be on bed rest or something that twins could require..not a real glamorous image for a celeb...even though Angelina was goregous pregnant with twins) For everyone that is going on about sperm donors and all that....isn't the most likely assumption that these are their children? A surrogate delivery is NOT an adoption, it is usually a woman carrying someone else's children, most likely their sperm and eggs. They didn't swoop in and take these children from her in the night, she knew she was nothing but an oven for another ladies buns! Wonderful unselfish thing for her to do. Also who says they had marriage trouble and were looking to save their marriage with children? UsWeekly? The Enquirer? TMZ? Never heard an interview that THEY said they were having marriage trouble. Wish this long lasting hollywood couple the best.

51. Re: the murderer comments, Broderick killed 2 people while driving drunk in Ireland. This was back in the 80s I think, and was hushed up in the old pre-internet ways.

52. Thank YOU, #34... nice to see someone with intelligent and thoughtful comments on here. I agree... the likely assumption is that the babies are biologically both theirs. The surrogate was obviously carefully chosen... in most places, there are strict screening guidelines as to who can be surrogates. She kept totally out of the spotlight until her local police broke into her house looking for information to give the paparazzi. (Seriously!?) Any surrogate knows they are just loaning their womb to help someone else have a baby... an amazing act of giving, I think. And you are right... in all of their interviews and public appearances they looked, sounded, and acted like a happy couple... the tabloids were the marriage-in-trouble storytellers, as usual. I remember seeing them at the memorial for Natasha Richardson. They looked united in their grief and very supportive of their friend Liam Neeson. In the photo here on TMZ, they look blissful. Cheers to them.

58. I remember MB having an accident in Ireland where and people were killed but not so sure on the drunken driving part of your story. I think that is rumor that spread afterward in a National Enquirer style. I do seem to remember excessive speed being involved but I think that speed limits were not so much law as a recomendation in this part of Ireland at the time. Not sure myself, but I hope all of you are sure on your stories before labeling someone a murderer and spreading that word around to others as fact. For the record I do believe drunks that kill while drinking and driving are murderers, but lets convict them in a court not on a tabloid website!

I remember that. Wasn't he with Jennifer Grey at the time? and driving on the wrong side of the road (by European standards, I mean)? And I think he got off with not even a slap on the wrist. Some paltry fine not even in the thousands?
Wow! I always hoped he had the decency to compensate on his own even if not court ordered to do so...wishful thinking on my part, I am sure!
