61. Beautiful family picture!!!! I think the people who post negative comments are just JEALOUS, they can do what they want with THEIR money.

62. I too was just searching online, as I didn't remember hearing about MB's accident in Ireland. If he was drunk driving, that's one of those sordid details every tabloid story would refer to every time they mentioned his name. The articles I just read all said he pled guilty to reckless driving. It was dark and rainy and he was on the wrong side of the road (easy enough to do in a country where they drive on the left, I suspect.) In the crash, a mother and daughter were killed in the other vehicle. He took responsibility by pleading guilty and was also badly injured. Apparently, according to what I read, the bigger scandal was that his then-girlfriend Jennifer Grey ditched him while he was still recovering. A sad event, no doubt.
And irrelevant to this story on TMZ.

63. I think it's wonderful to see this family experience the joy of new babies! I just feel bad for you people who are sitting out there assuming that you know what goes on behind closed doors! No one knows what these people are going through or experiencing! It's also very rude to say such mean comments about the family! Get over yourselves & stop being jealous! Goodluck Matt, Sarah, and children!

66. Amen #60, someone who does a little research before blowing off with charges against someone and stating them as fact. And you are exactly right that every article ever written about him from that day on would include the footnote of how he killed people while drunk driving and got away with it. I also remember there was great sympathy for him here at home with his injuries and the press here never would have let him get away with that if they thought he had killed people in anything more than a tragic (albeit probably avoidable) accident. I am sure that he lives with the memory of that accident and reality that two people died in it. Sweet babies. Were they identical? I know it is not a way to judge but they look absolutely identical to me from their profiles.

68. Thanks, #63. I never comment on here, but after reading all the hateful comments, I just had to say something tonight. Thanks, #63. The world needs to celebrate babies, for heaven's sake. There is more than enough hatred and sadness going around. Some of these folks should be ashamed of themselves. And no doubt, he is haunted by what happened. Any decent human being would be, especially since, as you say, it was probably a preventable accident in many respects. Just a true tragedy.

The babies are beautiful and I think they look identical too... but I would think (and I'm no expert!!) that they would likely have implanted two embryos into the surrogate, so more than likely they would be fraternal. Time will tell... but they have obviously brought new joy to their parents, judging from their smiles.
