Jackson Never Adopted Kids

Michael JacksonWe've learned Michael Jackson never adopted his three children, even though he's not the biological father.

We broke the story that neither Jackson nor Debbie Rowe are the biological parents of Michael Jr. and Paris. And Michael was not the biological parent of Prince Michael II either.

Now here's the rub. We've learned Jackson never filed legal papers to adopt any of his children. Legal experts tell us Jackson would be presumed the father but it's not conclusive by any means.

As for why Jackson didn't formally adopt -- we're told at the time the kids were born there was no third party whom he believed would try and claim custody. For some reason, Jackson never thought Debbie Rowe would mount a custody challenge.

31. This guy spent millions on lawyers, handlers, aids etc. Did ANYONE advise him to do ANYTHING in his own best interest?

What a mess. He made a lot of people rich and his life, personal professional, finacial and legal is a total screw up.

32. IF ADOPTION KEEPS HIM FROM BEING THE FATHER, THEN THAT KEEPS WHOMEVER TRIES AND TAKES EM FROM HIS MOTHER FROM GETTING HIS $$!!! IF THEY CAN SAY "WELL LEGALLY THEY ARE NOT HIS KIDS, THEN LEGALLY THEY HAVE NO INHERITANCE".

33. Why?! With all those lawyers surrounding MJ, why was this stuff never taken care of? Jesus, what a mess!!

36. Your last post stated that Rowe was not the biological mother of the kids. If that's true, than Jackson did not have to fear a legal challenge to custody. Surrogacy does not imply custodial rights. This is all speculation right now anyway and your posts are started to contradict each other.

37. Where was child welfare officials to check up on these facts??? That's why he hid the faces of his kids--they wern't his!! And now they could be cut out of his fortune!! It's like he stole these kids out of Debbie Rowe's belly!! She id the closest to a parent those kids have. IT'S LIKE HE JUST WANTED TO ADD WHITE KIDS TO HIS ZOO.

38. THIS IS VERY SAD IF IT'S TRUE. REGARDLESS THE KIDS ARE MICHAELS. HE'S RAISED THEM. I HOPE HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING AND THAT THINGS WORK OUT IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CHILDREN.

39. In the State of CA, if the wife has a child, the husband is the legal father after a certain amount of time (I think 2 years) regardless of whether he is the biological father. I've heard that several times over the last few days. Maybe that's why there were only married a couple of years.

40. Um, he didn't think she would seek custody because they had an agreement and she was monitarily compensated. He paid her to leave and stay gone.

41. The children do belong to someone the Jackson family.. The children are the last part of Michael Jackson so his family will take care of them...

Was MJ a weird eccentric who sometimes made bad choices, absolutely, but he was also kind and compassionate man who WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, and I am forever grateful for the music he left behind.

What is going on here? Why is this information all so important now because Michael is dead? What are the sources? TMZ is wording their statements just right to avoid getting in trouble. Just because they "learn" something, doesn't mean it's confirmed or true. This is all ridiculous. The story is actually starting to get boring. Same news - different headline.

45. I hope the kids remember who they new as their father. No matter what the case, MJ took care of those kids and raised them as his own. The kids are going to live a very unique life because of all this and I just hope that somehow they get the chance at a normal life with the people that they know as "family". No matter how much can come out, MJ is their father and always will be. Rest in peace Michael Jackson. You will be missed. XOXO
