Michael Jackson Court Hearing

Michael JacksonUPDATE: The judge in the case has ruled Katherine will remain as temporary administrator for the rest of the week. The judge said it wasn't urgent to change things up immediately -- that the matter will be heard Monday.

There's a hearing underway over Michael Jackson's will.

Here's the problem. On Monday, Katherine's lawyers got an order from the judge making Katherine the temporary administrator of her son's estate, based on her belief that no will existed.

Now that a will has been filed, the named executors want to make sure they have control over the assets and are asking the judge to nullify Katherine's power to move assets around -- even temporarily.

We're told there isn't a conflict between Katherine and the new executors -- it's just to button things up.

17. Let's hope for the sake of MJ's legacy and children, that the executors will maintain credibility. I am a little surprised to learn that not one person, in particular Janet Jackson, was not mentioned as a co-executor. I would think it wise at the very least, to have a family member also have control of total assets. If in the event the executors and co-executors die, then who controls the fortune and legacy??? And if in the event Diana Ross expires then, who will raise the children?

22. Get used to the publicity and the stories. There's nothing else generating this kind of global attention. Enjoy it and follow it. Check back to this site often. It'll be very interesting as it plays out and new developments occur.

This will last years. Prince Jackson will make a record and date Lisa Marie's kid.

23. i think that what people dont understand is the role of executors of the will. they stand to gain solely the fees they charge for handling paperwork and assisting the family in the transition. any assets or money michael had still goes to the trust and the trustees. once the paperwork is done, executors are paid their fee and out of the picture and profits for any assets sold by the executors (under the trustees direction) are cut to the family mentioned in the will. executors are just to make sure papers are filed correctly, everything is in order, and the trustees have less stress to deal with.

25. Katherine is still named as guardian in the will, and the lawyer,Branca is still in charge of protecting Jackson's interests.I've also read that Michael named Diana Ross as the secondary guardian for his children in case something happens to his mother.

26. TMZ- stop!stop!stop!stop! This is getting to be the MJZ, and enough is enough. With the excessive number of MJ "Updates and Revelations" it is getting me wishing for the return of Spencer and Heidi, SamRo, and other publicity whores. At least they move from place to place and are amusingly dumb! This is just too, too, over the top.

27. EXECUTORS do not own the estate, they carry out the wishes of the Trust.

We do not know if Janet is a Trustee -YET.

28. I've read that Katherine remains guardian and that Jackson retains the lawyer,Branca to take care of the business interests.Michael also names Diana Ross as secondary guardian for his children in case something happens to his mother.Ex-wife Debbie Rowe isn't named for any bequests, probably because Jackson set her up years ago.

30. So if Michael Jackson's mom dies now (79), Diana who is 65 I believe gets the kids? How f*cked up is that. Yes I believe both of them will be amazing guardians, but these people are old. What was Michael thinking. So what happens if both Katherine and Diana die? I think he should have left the kids to someone younger and also that one of his family members should have been the executor of the will, because with lawyers you never know.
