64. The old timer obviously doesn't have a clue about Vitiligo. Most ppl end up bleaching the areas not affected by the disease otherwise you have patchy skin all over your body( and it ain't pretty).trying to treat the affected patches by photo therapy ( to grow back pigment in those areas) DOES NOT work. so i can see why he chose to bleach the unaffected areas. as for his kids, they have a white mom and a surrogate dad

65. If MJ really had vitiligo, then he should have done the brave thing and been the celebrity spokesperson for the disease -- it would have helped thousands of kids to feel better about themselves. Like the woman from TLC did with Sickle Cell disease. MJ lied, he didn't have the disease.

69. THIS IS B.S.! First of all, Havent people heard the song -Black or White...Thats says it all!!! Also, for the people who do not know...he had no choice in becoming white. He has a skin disorder called Vitiligo which makes your skin turn white because you lose all of your pigmentation. It amazes me how people keep trying to talk bad about him after all that man sufferd on this earth, they just cant leave him in peace and stop making him a target. Hes never seen color and respects all races.

It''s no wonder Michael couldn't be saved from being addicted to those pain killers and anesthetics - no one cared. Not his immediate circle of enablers. Not his "friends". It really breaks my heart. 73. IGNORANT!!!!! You people are seriously ignorant. I speak as someone who HAS vitiligo. It originally started on his hand which is why he wore the glove then it started spreading and he got himself bleached. He got himself bleached so he wouldnt have spot everywhere because for someone who has black skin and then have really white patches...doesnt look good. I use to have semi-tan skin because i am hispanic and when i was little you can see the difference big time. Now i have manage to stay out of the sun and my skin is completely white. You can not tell that i have spots now because im just white but that doesnt happen with everyone which is why he bleached himself. From time to time i spray tan since its the only thing i can do since i cant get sun. People please do your research and stop being ignorant. Plus did people ever think that maybe he was ashamed of talking about it or maybe he was just so fed up with the media that he didnt want to talk about with them. After all the media did make his life miserable. He didnt see color! Plus he made changes to his face because he said his father use to make him feel bad about the way he looked and especially about his nose.

He did not bleach his skin.

75. Everyone just needs to GROW UP. Obviously there is a vast difference between the "real human" vs the "famous show person". His music and performances was genius. However, he was another peson in his personal life. While that is difficult to understand, it certainly does not mean that everyone having some input is lying. I believe the world does need to know the truth, because no one learns a lesson from an information void.
