Michael Jackson was a musical messiah. This man brought all kinds of people together with the power of his talent. We can't say that about Elvis, John Lennon, the Rolling Stones, or Bruce Springsteen. They are all iconic for sure, but they do have a definite fan base and the evidence of Michael's fan base is being seen all over the world and will be seen in force on Tuesday. I am 41 years old and this boy was my my first crush, he was the first child star that I was aware of and the Jackson 5 was my very own first favorite group. Until then I had been subject to the music that my parents listened to and they were adult artists, but the J5 were all mine and were young like me. I hate that Michael Jackson is gone.Le'ts not be too quick to judge someone addicted to Rx meds. They are supposed to be controlled substances that's why you can't go and get get them off the shelves at your local CVS or Rite Aid. If you had a loved one who was an addict and you had the power to give them what they wanted would you give it to them just because they wanted it? No, you would think and care about the impact on their lives. These so called doctors didn't think or care about Michael Jackson, they were dope dealers with prestigious medical degrees from prestigious medical schools. Drug dealers on the corner don't take the Hippocratic oath but these doctors did. I hope we don't let these greedy parasites off the hook by placing all the blame on Michael Jackson and his wealth, fame and power. Remember this is why these drugs are supposed to be controlled so tragedies like this don't happen. Narcotics in the hands of addicts can and usually result in their death. It doesn't matter if the addict is the most famous man in the world or the addict in your family or neighborhood. Addicts in full addiction mode have lost control of their ability to reason but is the doctor's moral and professional obligation to care for and protect their patient's health and well being. Doctors aren't supposed to help you get get worse. Giving you all the drugs you want ain't helping you to get better its helping you to get worse or to get dead. DEA go get their asses!
