Jackson Memorial Tickets -- Now a Worldly Event

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson is clearly the international star in death that he was in life -- the memorial lottery is now open to the world.

Initially, only U.S.residents qualified for the ticket drawing to score seats for Tuesday's Staples Center memorial. But now the folks putting it together have decided to open up registration to all earthly beings, saying, "Additional legal terms have been incorporated into the conditions of entry to allow non-U.S. residents the opportunity to register for the random ticket drawing."

The drawing closes tonight at 6:00 PM PT. Click here to register.

Most people are talking to much news is giving to the Jackson family but just think about if it was a love one u lost come on world have a heart because thats what michael had listen deeply to the words in his music sounds pretty clear to me that he will and will always be a legend alive or dead. So let there be peace like mike says black or white it does'nt matter we should love each other thats what his song meant. Open your ears and hearts Then when i think about how his life was shorting by this evil world we live in he is in heaven with thy father where he and the angels can sing all night long

WITH ALL MY LOVE

49. As a Fan of Michael Jackson I believe that this Memorial Service is a wonderful tribute to such a wonderfully talented entertainer. I for one believe that all of the expense and fuss is all worth it. It would only be fitting to have a memorial as grand as the described event on Tuesday. Let us not forget that Michael Jackson was the "King of Pop". The world of fans would expect nothing less of America and L.A. I am sure that up request many of the close wealthy entertainers who were artistically inspired by Michael will make memorial contributions to defer the costs of this event. It is just sad that people are so quick to judge and be negative, they would not want that type of response for any of their own family or themselves. May Michael finally Rest In Peace in Heaven since his life here on earth he was misunderstood and scruitinzed.

50. 18. Is it just me or has this country gone insane? Has it slipped everyone's mind that Michel Jackson was put on trial for touching little boys? In fact he was put on the national pedophile watch list just like every other molester out there. Lucky for him, the idiots that idolized him built up his bank roll which allowed him to buy his way out of the situation. Michael Jackson was a freak who was brought under suspicion of molestation and we glorify him as if he was a God. Get a grip people, there is no doubt that Michael was a star, and I'm quite sure that his star is the brightest one in hell!

I agree wholeheartedly. They're practically canonizing this individual, and, while he was famous as a performer, he was FAR more INfamous (IMO) in his personal life. Persoanlly, if I had children, I would not want them to look up to a drug addict and (alleged, as he was never convicted) child molester, no matter how well-known he/she was as a performer. Death does not negate past sins.

51. Lovely story about the funeral of Princess Di and the folks in London. Michael Jackson, however, does not have the same caliber of folks mourning him. Los Angeles is terrified of the damages that will be done, and righly so. There is a chance for a select few vendors to make money sure, but there is a larger number of people at risk for suffering greatly at the influx of crazies taking over. You cannot compare Michael Jackson to Princess Diana. This soft-spoken man just wanted peace, blah, blah, blah. This same individual thought it was correct to keep little boys in his bed and give them "love." He also had a drug problem for years that killed him. It's okay to like his music, but let's not get carried away and make him something he was not. Death does not erase who a person really was in life. And during the second child molestation blow-up, don't forget that Dame Elizabeth Taylor distanced herself from him like a hot potato. After his death, she wrote a heart-rending piece about her "friend." It was laughable. Dame Taylor, you bailed because you knew what he was.

52. To the kid below that says "When will this be over - enough is enough", Uh, you posted your comments so it's obvious you still have some interest.

People other than US citezens SHOULD be allowed. They were much bigger fans and didn't make fun of him like the US did.

53. im kind of mad that they changed to allow international citizens access to the lottery process for the tickets to the memorial, now dont get me wrong its not because they live outside of the U.S but its because why waste the time registering when they arent even going to fly to L.A. on monday to pick up tickets and then go on tuesday? its a waste of time and it takes away from the people that actually live within driving distance to los angeles. At first i felt i had a great chance to get tickets but now im not so sure because the odds are less than 1% of getting a ticket now. i felt like they started out doing the right thing with this process but now that they opened up internationally they just made it a mess.

57. Sader than Michael's death is them keeping millions from saying goodbye. I think they should have found a place where one million fans could have come worldwide and allowed everyone that wanted to attend Michael Jackson's funeral. The way his memorial is being handled, it is causing millions of Michael Jackson fans to suffer insult along with injury.

58. MJ was the greatest preformer we have ever seen. He will be missed by millions of people. We as fans did not allow MJ to have a life on this earth and hopefully he is so relieved to be in heaven and in peace. I do hope they will put a permanent memorial up for us fans to visit and rememeber.
