496. #484 stop and think, sad to say but an addict on demeral can stand on one foot and dance his tooshie off while high, he probably couldn't if he wasn't on it as he'd be jittery and sick from not being high.....his body needs it and can't function without it, I've seen it before at the hospital and in life due to my work. You'd think they couldn't but it's their air for the most part!

First of all there is no wonderful feeling in the pre-anesthesia phase: one feels uneasy and panicky and after you simply knock out without the time to realize what's going on and when you wake up you feel extremely dizzy, confused, uneasy and again sort of panicky. Secondly I do not understand why again and again the fact he was accused of child molestation comes up. We all know how the trial ended:an acquittal therefore there is nothing else to say on the subject. Third it is simply unacceptable that doctors decide to prescribe those kind of dangerous medicines and are not prosecuted for murder. It makes me sick that people who should care for other people's health try to kill them instead only to get more and more money and taht nobody is raging about that and that it is almost accepted as a normal behaviour in certain environments...MJ wouldn't be an isolated case of vips killed by pills. But because they are rich and famous and sometimes a bit eccentric or even weird nobody seems to care!!!! And last but not least I do not understand why such a loving family and so many caring friends left him alone with his ghosts and fears or even worse didn't realize he had some kind of deep pain that he was obviously unable to cope with. But what else can you expect from a father who signed off a monthly check of 200,000 usd to a 10 years old child and tease him all the time for his nose? I saw the interview in which Michael told this very story about his father. Recalling those moments he was still about to cry (35 years later!!!) At the end we all have to understand that the life he lived was not "normal" at all. We may never understand fully what it means living always under the stress of stardom and extreme unthinkable wealth with no more wishes left and with no dreams left..thinking of being always used by other people or misunderstood..I do not want to tell a tearing story.. His life may have been better or wealthier or more fulfilling or more comfortable of many others, but definitively it was not a normal life...It is the shameless "hollywood system" to be blamed not him..At least he legally earned his money working hard for about 40 years convincing us all to get out of our home and spend our little money on his music or to see him pulling out our hair or screaming like hell only seeing him on TV ads...At least he made us all dance...He didn't steal anything from anybody and didn't cause any banks bankrupt putting people in the street as those creative stock exchangers have done lately.... if he did something wrong he did it only to himself....He certainly didn't die because he was too happy or beacuse he had too many loving caring people around..I do not know anybody dying for too much happiness or for having too many real friends... It is simply disgusting to hear all the talks about his eccentricity, his sexual orientation, his desire to change race or to live forever...I must have been already terribly bored other than wishing to outlive all us ...He was a poet a musician a singer one of a kind....Unfortunately he's gone and he's not coming back from where he went...all the leeches all still around instead...

503. I heard it said that MJ was not feeling well after returning home from rehersal that night and that he collapsed in front of his oldest son, so I would assume he was standing up. It is possible he suffered a massive heart attack from strenuous exhaustion from long rehersals. A heart attack can strike anyone at any age. If it was Propofol, that is so potent one drop puts you out, how could he be standing & collapse?

Based on what I've heard, I believe there was some drug abuse to deal with insomnia. Toxicology results will tell us the truth.

505. Yes, Ginger! I was thinking that about a week ago too. I think he was "hooked on a feeling", as are most humans. Addiction is addiction is addiction, no matter to what. I was thinking he probably was at some pointy getting the surgeries JUST FOR THE ANESTHESIA!! Wow, what a secret he held!! And for such a long time. See, humans are addicted because we constantly search for something--anything and everything--to fill that God-shaped hole in our soul. Michael just got extremely creative with his!! I pray he somehow had time to ask Jesus into his heart before he died--or he may never find that peace he sought in life....

506. Maria, thank you for the novel. I agree. Leave Michael alone! He is gone and much to millions and millions of people's dismay. How many people will show up to your funeral haters? Michael was an addict and that is so sad but it is true and addiction is a disease a treatable one but it is not curable. I pray that someday there will be a cure for addiction, but for now there is not and we all must suffer the consequenses of losing a loved one from ODs on legal drug. Banish legal narcotics and legalize marijuana, no one ever died of an overdose on the sweet green leaf!

507. Reading through the great majority of comments, I am astounded at how uncommpassionate and unsympathetic most comments are. True: Michael Jackson did suffer enourmous physical pain due to his lupus - diagnosed in the 1980's. Add
to this the countless hours of rehearsals, concerts and the enourmous stress of touring, and we have a perfect mix for joint
inflammation the likes of which most of us will never experience. Also true, the great majority of pain, chronic and acute
in North America is not adequately treated, and this translates to under medicating individuals, not over medication. Addiction to painkillers is an exremely rare event, affecting less than 2% of the population that is medicated with narcotic painkillers. Michael Jackson, the human being, had every right to make choices about every aspect of his life, and to take back control of those aspects that were outside his sphere of influence. If this means that he used prescription drugs for pleasure and recreation - then, as a fully cognizant individual, I consider this to be a grand thing. Let's not forget that in the
late 1800's and early 1900's narcotics were used for everyday, common ailments. We should ask ourselves weather, as a society we have become so highly legislated that we'll be asking how many breaths per minute is optimal or healthy
to breathe. If M. Jackson was so disthraugt, and felt more comfortable (note he had copious amounts of physical and psychological pain) taking every bit of pain medication to gain some semblance of a pain-free existence, what right do we
have to expect that he stayed alive 'just for us' . Still, I feel we have lost an immensly talented dancer and singer who was
a perfectionist, gave of himself and his time, and was a great father. He will be greatly missed.

508. Did any of the Doctor's that serviced him ,realize they wer'e comitting murder? If he was unaware, what about the so , so many people around him.And the ironic thing is that he was surrounded by doctors ...should i feel safe when i go at the doctor ?? The problem is doctors prescribe dangerous stuff without second thoughts.And without explaining patients what the risks are.I have a problem with my sleep and my doctor prescribed Xanax.I'm not taking that ..causes dependency at first use.I rather not sleep.

510. I stated all along that MJ was probably getting any cosmetic procedure done to get prescriptions for pain meds,,,, the procedures were not appropriate at all,, there's an alterior motive. Very disturbing and though this is a gossip website, i do believe MJ was doing whatever he could to get anesthesia and precription meds. Very sad and destructive indeed.
