69. yes they stole alot money from our country but unlike the politicians now,they have contributed alot.in marcos' time the economy is great,alot of foreign countries work for the philippines and he is the only president who equivalents the peso us dollar to $1=1php. Imelda also donated alot of hospitals that we are currently using now. So even if they are corrupt they still have done great things for us to be thankful for. Unlike gloria.Gloria should be ousted.that greedy scum

71. corruption is everywhere, even in the US but it doesn't level up to the corruption the marcoses did in their country. the philippines were better a few years back than today but are the filipino people happy during that time? are they free to do what they want? Nope they are not that's why the country had a people's revolution. atleast today even though the government is corrupt people have a right to do what they want in order to succeed in life, but well, sadly filipinos are fond of complaining without doing anything to help their way of life. I also want to compare the filipino way of life during the marcos regime to the way of life in North Korea now. do the filipinos want that life? SHUT UP do you want to live that way? 73. She still looks great and regal at 80 considering all the harassment she and her family underwent after they were overthrown. Imelda was already practicing "the Secret" decades before the book was published. We can see the result in her now - still alive and beautiful while the one who overthrew her is suffering in her sickness because she doesn't know how to forgive.
I've only come to appreciate Imelda and her various government projects when she left. I want her back in government service.
The Philippines was in a much better state than it became during Cory's regime.
