Cops Say McNair's Mistress Owned Gun

Steve McnairNashville police now think the gun recovered at the scene of Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi's shooting death belonged to Sahel.

Police spokesmen Don Aaron said, "We believe the pistol recovered from the apartment was purchased by Kazemi."

McNair was found shot four times -- twice in the head and twice in the body -- and Kazemi suffered a single gunshot to the head. Cops were told Kazemi and McNair "had been in a dating relationship," even though McNair was married.

The gun in question was found under Kazemi's body -- cops think murder-suicide is a possibility, but nothing official yet.

62. McNair sounds like an idiot who was having a mid-life crisis because he was no longer an NFL QB. He apparently wasn't as squeaky-clean as I had thought (previous DUI and gun charges). How could he have met this girl 6 months ago and already took her on like 4 or 5 trips? AND bought her an Escalade? But regardless, the timing is weird.....she just got a DUI Thurs. with him in the car....that they co-owned. Maybe that shook him up and he was trying to dump her. It seems like she must've blind-sided him with a shot to the head though.....he wouldn't have just sat there without fighting back...

63. WHY beat this man down now that he is dead? Seriously. There are a ton of men/women who cheat. Its still a horrible tragedy for everyone. He didn't expect this, he was a great ball player, lets just remember him like that, I'm sure if he was still alive, there would not be so much hatred towards him. I feel really bad for his wife and kids. Thats the real tragedy. Those kids don't need to remember their dad like this (the nasty posts) Just let him RIP. There is NO justification at all. IF his girlfriend did kill him, what a waste of a human life. STEVE WAS A SUPER PLAYER, LETS JUST REMEMBER THAT OPPOSE TO KILLING THE MAN 10 TIMES OVER. I do NOT condone cheating, but....I don't really know the whole story because I was not part of his life.

64. Ashlee, he's supposed to be a role model, and was held as such, retired or not. Many people watch what these pro athletes do in life, and in no way is what he did acceptable on a morality standpoint. This is why people voice their opinion, and will continue to do so. It's life, you get caught with your hand in the cookie jar, someone is going to find out.

65. The only people I feel sorry for her is McNair's wife and his children. Sure being a lying, cheating snake in the grass doesn't warrant being murdered -- but if you play with fire enough -- eventually you will get burned.

What was he doing with a girl young enough to be his daughter anyway?? What a disgusting excuse for a husband/father... and the mistress was just some trashy psycho. Who knows why she got so mad at him to kill him - we may never know..

but now 4 kids are going to grow up without a father. McNair was a selfish, selfish man..

66. I never comment but I had to. All I need to say is , that's what his horny, dumb, morally challedged, 36 years old, black azz get! This is coming from a black, 39 year old, married, non-racist, woman. I have sorrow for his wife and kids. I guess he was a good father??? But his wife can now enjoy a life, instead of living with a lying, dirty, cheating, old dog.

67. Dovie, i may agree somewhat about "getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar", but.....it still does NOT justify the man getting murdered this way. Personally, I do not know the whole story, my whole point is - why kill someone over this? Who knows who did it, it sounds more and more like his girlfriend and what a dam shame if thats the case! My heart goes out to his family! You know those kids have no clue as to why daddy cheater or where daddy was, I just feel bad that a life had to end this way.......Thats all I'm saying. It was abousetely senseless.

72. And I'm from Tennessee and always thought he was an overrated ball player. Never was a fan of his football skills. Just my opinion though. So, I'll remember him as an NFL player that made poor decisions in his personal life and sadly died before his time. I'm not going to put him on this pedestal just because he's dead.

74. You can always count on TMZ to try to be the first to come up with the "SMUT". Since they make their iving just sitting around trying to catch some one in an unfortunate situation.I would think TMZ's owner has better things to do with that law degree No matter what Steve did , he was also a family man but no one has bothered to show him and his family. You chose to have the last pictures of him with his W. Who he was probably about to dump! Why is it you think that we only want to see pictures of him and his latest "groupie".? Let this be a warning to all females who chase professional athelets knowing that they have a wife and family.All is not as wonderful as you think. Let this also be a lesson to the athelets. Just because you play ball does not mean you can do this. Whats done in the dark will come to the light and all women are not going to let you get away with this...forever.

75. SABRINA, I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! Why make judgement so quick. I don't understand why ppl do this, but....its to be expected. Its just a dam shame all the way around. I'm sure by tomorrow morning, we will all find out WHO killed him. I'm not blaming anyone yet. Even though it sounds like the girlfriend. I guess I will find out the whole truth in the days to come. Until then, I will not kill the man over and over!
