eBay Wages War with Jackson Ticket Scalpers

Sales for tickets to attend the King of Pop's final farewell are running rampant on sites like eBay, but watch out before you put in a bid -- the company is removing tickets sales from the site as fast as possible.

MIchael Jackson

We got a screen grab of a pair of tickets that already cost $10,000 (kind of them to offer free shipping) -- but the link was disabled shortly after we found it.

Incredibly expensive and hard to get? Good luck...

31. Gonna leave this web site forever, you Jacko Wackos. My condolences to your families as many of you begin committing suicide over the death of your fallen pedophile pop God. Wackos!!!

32. There are going to be A LOT of people without their money! Stupid people! You CANNOT buy the vouchers!!!!! The person who registered MUST be the one who claims the tickets/wristbands at the box office. They WILL be checking ID's. The minute you are verified, you will then have a wristband put on. It is unclear whether your extra ticket/wristband must be given to a guest at that time.

33. 26. I don't understand why if I had won two tickets in a lottery that I would later be told that I had to use them or lose them. It's kind of like winning a car in a church raffle.

wow, that's not a car we're talking about...this is about a f***ing funeral for Gods sake. Damn.

34. I don't think people who buy these tickets will get in. Keep your money and watch on television,.

37. those of you who are going ape over the scalpers are forgetting how outrageous it is that a memorial is being held at the staples center in the first place.beyond family and friends, nobody else should be privvy to a funeral service.this reeks of jackson family hubris, maniacal fan worship, and socio-political glomming-on by the sharptons and jesse jacksons of the world.the money that the city of l.a. will have to spend on this farce alone could feed alot of people, clothe alot of children, help victims of natural disasters, and myriad things far more important than hororing a pop idol.

38. You people are half retarded. Nice reporting TMZ without even understanding what is going on. Nobody is actually paying that amount for the tickets. People are just driving up bids out of probably anger and fun and then not paying when the bidding is over. You should have noticed that there are other auctions listed at fixed prices requiring immediate payment In other words, the buyer is required to pay in full to end the listing and complete the transaction. If you do not pay, the listing does not end and you cannot fake manipulating the price. Those are only set at a few hundred dollars, and are the actual sales. Not those laughable $20,000+ ones.

39. Kind of sucks for those of us who really wanted to go but didn't win the "lottery" only to see some who did win making a profit or trying to at least.

43. The tickets will do you no good if you do not have the wrist band that was put on the winners when they picked up their tickets. One of the two people must be wearing a band.

45. I saw on cnn that anyone that sells their ticket won't count. The tickets are assigned to a person and that person has to show their ID. If a person shows up with the tickets and you're not the original owner of the ticket you won't be able to enter. I'm not sure how true that is....
