Jackson Showdown in Court Today

Jackson Showdown in Court Today Today we'll know if Katherine Jackson will fight over Michael Jackson's will -- or at least we'll know if her lawyer plans a fight.

We've learned lawyers for John Branca and John McClain -- the two men named co-executors in Michael Jackson's will -- will ask the judge to put them in charge of the estate, at least until the will is formally presented in court.

But here's the wild card -- last week, before the will was filed, Katherine Jackson's lawyer, Londell McMillan, went to court and got the judge to temporarily make Katherine the administrator of the estate. That power expires today.

The question -- will McMillan object to putting Branca and McClain in control of the estate? Jermaine Jackson has said he wants everyone to respect Michael's wishes. Sources tell us Jermaine's feelings are shared by the other siblings, but McMillan may have a different agenda. We're told many members of Michael's family are upset with McMillan and believe he's grandstanding. Lawyers for the named co-executors are bracing for a fight.

Ironically, the will names Katherine the guardian of Michael's children.

17. get a grip out there world people, i liked micheal's music and am sad he has passed on but the children are the most important ones here. the legal wrangling is going to do them in. now it is said paris always wanted a mom, what say you katherine. nothing against katherine but why cant everyone get along for the sake of the kids and debbie and katherine work something out for the sake of kids. give debbie a chance and let her step up to the plate. mj machine did indeed keep her away and rescheduling a visit was a nitemare for her to keep her away. everyone else has to work out sharing kids do the kids some justice and work at giving the kids all they can be given for them. just put the monies away and work for the kids best adjustments. money is a necessary evil but the root of all evil. this world is going tohell in a handbasket because no one cares about others just themselves. the kids may like debbie if given a chance to know her a little. she is after all their mother. why would she offer to do dna testing and psychological testing. give the woman a chance and pray for the kids well being. the others are adults, act like it. honestly what a disaster in the making.....................................

18. and another thing what the heck do we need jesse jackson involved here. all he wants is to get his face in the mess and al sharpton too. cmon guys dont you have anything else to do. you two need to fight over who is going to be involved in the service. mj became a muslim for goodness sake. you two are not muslim preachers. go back to your rock and crawl back under it and let the jackson family bury the son. this is so rediculous. this is so overboard. can we report some real news. this is getting old. i can see first 24-49 hours. now we are reporting some 13 y.ol fainted. where are her parents. this is why kids are running loose and get into trouble no parental supervision.

19. I would like Grace to be with the children. As it is know she and Michael Jackson had a strong relationship (some reports say she was his secret girlfriend) and Michael's children use to call her mom. Too bad his will is from 2001, I am sure if he had re-done his will he would put her in charge of taking care of the kids. I think he didn't thought he would die so early.

20. Biologically or not, those are Michael's children. I can't understand why people continue to claim he was not their father. They probably have someone else's DNA, (and we don't really know that for sure, but ti's looking like they do) but he WAS their father. I think Michael's will should be honored. He didn't make any member of his family executors or co-executors for a reason....

As far as Debbie goes, raising children is far different than raising horses.

23. What bullcrap that MJ had a secret girlfriend and the least of all that (it) would have been the nanny. There's so much covering up and/or rewriting the story of his "adult" life the past 25 years. Separate the musician from the rest of his life and you have a bizarre, mentally twisted, and unstable boy-man. Sadly, those three children were exposed to a 24/7 drug addict their entire childhood thus far. There is absolutely no possible way he could have been present or conscious as a serious father. They don't stand a chance of any psychological rehabilitation if they go to the old mother and will be used as pawns in an attempt to rewrite history. Many are delusional....

26. Katherine Jackson is probably a very good Grandma but way too old to take in those kids. I would have rather seen a brother or sister like Germaine or Janet take them. Debbie Rowe is about money but watch she'll get them. I doubt Dianna Ross wants to raise those kids she is old also. It is sad .

No, the Courts will ALWAYS consider the CHILDREN's interests which is to be the 3 of them together with the only family they ever knew. I think it would be easier for the nanny Grace to be with them then Debbie Rowe...anyway, she has not requested their custody till this day. I think she is not interested anymore.

30. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton the buddies of Joe Jackson are promoting him as a good Father to Michael when we all know he brutalized Michael, destroying his self esteem and self image. Joe threw his son against the wall, who would even treat a dog like that. Joe should not be allowed near those children and You have to prove that Katherine is menally competent to take on the resposinbility to raise three small children which I believe she is not. She is 80 years old. And easily manipulated by brutal Joe. They just resolved a bankrupty together to the tune of 23 million dollars from 1999 money spent on cars, credit cards and who know what else. In 1999 Katherine was 70 years old, how much money can one 70 years old spend. It is obivious they do not know how to handle money and would make the worst executors of Michaels estate. Katherine should only be givewn regulated funds from the estate.
