Jackson's Chosen Few Play Beat the Clock

Michael JacksonThe deadline to pick up Michael Jackson memorial tickets is causing a frenzy, because some of the ticket holders -- especially those who live out of state -- can't make it to the ticket counter by the 6PM deadline.

Right now, anyone who was selected to attend must present the voucher for their tickets by 6PM at Dodger Stadium.

An AEG spokesman tells us they've been receiving complaints and are now considering pushing the deadline.

Stay tuned...

48. 36. I just picked up my two tickets at Dodger Stadium... you will not believe my story. Last nite I posted on Craigslist " wanted 2 tickets" "I don't have any $ but I am a huge fan that lives 45 minutes away from Staples and would love to go". And guess what?? 5 minutes later I got an email from a lady who said she won and she wanted to give them away to a true fan. She asked me for my email and I gave it to her... then next thing I knew I had the ticket code in my inbox. I'm happy to say there are goo hearted people still here in this world. I owe this lady huge. She made my day, year, life!!!! Thanks P! You know who you are. I even got floor seats at Staples!

49. Yvonne I live in LA. so yes, I could've made it.
They announced we weren't to be notified until Sunday afternoon, late evening. The memorial is on Tuesday.
So lets say that they allowed you to pick up your tickets as late as 8am on Tuesday. (which logistically, wouldn't even work, but for the sake of argument... ) Could you have made that?
I am just reading how everyone says that its not fair they're not giving anyone enough time.. but I think we all knew when the memorial was.. we all knew we'd have to get our tickets before the memorial... maybe we didn't know specifically by 6pm Monday night.. but I think we all realized we'd have to be there ASAP.. and if we had no means to get there asap.. we shouldn't have been entering the 'contest'.. It is just keeping fans who can attend away.

53. To the losers who want to witness the Michael Jackson Memorial....it is a chance for the Jackson Family, the Promoters, the Lawyers, The agents, The marketing people to make money.

The REAL Funeral/Burial will be far away from you losers...just the way the Jacksons' want it. Welcome to their world...they are everything (in their minds) and YOU are NOTHING.

Did you check out EXTRA TV Show today....it's all about WHITE millionaires Michael spent alot of free time with.

Just a reality check for you losers.

56. I won 2 tickets, but I live in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. If only they would have sent the notification earlier and not in the middle of the night. I work as a flight attendant so luckily I was able to rush to the airport in Amsterdam and gave the voucher to the crew that was flying to LA and were almost ready for take off. They just landed and are now on there way to purchase the tickets. Although I feel sorry for myself I'm glad that I could make my collegues happy.

60. This is EXACTLY the point I was trying to make yesterday!! For the people out of state, it makes it nearly impossible to be able to pack, get a flight (thats available!) and get out to LA in time to find this stadium and get the tickets!! Surely to God they had the common sense to know that this would be a problem....all due to the delays in announcing the winners!!
