We've learned the "second" will that was lodged with the court was signed by Michael Jackson in 1997. That will was declared null and void when the 2002 will was signed.
The main reason Jackson updated his will in 2002 -- the birth of his last two children.
In both the '97 and 2002 wills, Jackson's lawyer/friend John Branca was named co-executor.

32. I think it's sad. You know, he left Katherine in the will, but where was Katherine all those years when Michael was being abused. Mothers who stand by and let the fathers do this are just as guilty as the father. I don't think Katherine deserves a dime. Neither does Joe, but I'm sure he'll find some way to turn a profit out of this. All the Jacksons will profit. It's sad, for the most part, everyone wanted something from Michael. People on here who are "fans," if we was alive you would have wanted something from him too, a picture, and autograph. I'm sure it got old not being able to have someone genuinely want nothing from him. Face it, even now in death people want something from him. Now, the kids will be in the spotlight. I don't know who will eventually end up with the kids, but let's face it, it's slim pickings at this point. I don't feel there are ANY good options. I think maybe Madonna should adopt them, let's face it, she is the new king/queen of pop. I don't know how anyone could dispute that.

34. Is it just me - or did anyone else think that the photo that OK! Magazine published (which was supposed to be MJ being worked on) didn't look like Michael at all - the nose the eye brows...just doesn't look like him at all. It looks like the mag either pubished fake photo or they bought one assuming it was real and used it?

35. I just really hope they don't spend every dime they can wring out of his estate, hide and sell all his personal belongings, then claim "sorry, all the money went to pay for stuff and there is nothing left".
Priscilla Presley was a mastermind at turning around Elvis' estate from a similar situation, I wish she would work with the permanent executor of his estate after this early mess is over with and make sure it all doesn't disappear.

As soon as "tickets" went up for the Funeral... that got pathetic... just makes the JACKSON'S look even more money hungry.. PATHETIC... seriously ... let's drop it.. he's dead, unfortunitly so is Farrah and Ed Mcman but you'd never know it with all the attention the Jackson's are getting.... so very sad. 42. Very few people Michael could trust in this world and I believe John Branca was and is someone Michael could trust. Michael was best man at his wedding they have been friends for a long time. John is the one who encouraged Michael to buy the Beatles catalog. He is a very smart man. I think he understood the greed and brutality Michael had to cope with from his FAmily. I am glad the JUdge did not fall for Katherines manipulations. Michael has been paying for the encino mansion since 1999 when Joe and Katherine filed for bankruptcy to the tune of 23 million dollars money was spent on cars, credit cards and Goodness knows what else. Everyone of the Jackson Family has been leeching off Michael for years.
