17. I think you're being more than generous to consider this a crowd. More like a small, very small, gathering

21. If in fact there is a low number of people who show up, it only show's ONCE AGAIN how the media thinks they can whip EVERYONE into a frenzy with there SMOTHERING A STORY! TMZ included. And then the "stars" jump on the bandwagon thinking they are making "history" if they show up. And while I think MJ was an EXCELLANT entertainer, and IF the charges against him were NOT true (which I am beginning to believe they were false) then he also may have been a very nice AND VERY misunderstood human being, but this is just ghoulish and disrespectful. That he has not been laid to rest yet and his remains are being hauled all over town for the sake of his "fans" to say goodby is just f#cken ridiculous!!!!!!!!!! Oh and yes, so all his "entertainer" friends can have their moment to say how much they "loved him" makes me want to vomit. I am sure there are some in that center who truly loved the man but I would BET that most are full of sh#t. IMO!!!! R.I.P. MJ.

22. You people make me sick! It was never proven that he did anything to ANY child. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Can't you see that these were the accusing words of money hungry parents who were on welfare and saw a way out of it by lying on Michael Jackson? He was acquited of any wrong doing. You are the sad ones.

23. This is a memorial site for a man who has died and who was loved by many. If you haven't anything good or useful to say, don't say a thing! For all you know his children could be reading these comments and no child should see such rubbish written about their parent!

25. LAPD's intelligence-gathering departments aren't performing very well.

For the Lakers parade, they knew streets would be lined and a Coliseum would be filled. And LAPD's intelligence departments thought 2,000 cops were sufficient for the job.

But for today's Michael Jackson memorial, they believed 3,000 cops were needed for the massive crowds that were going to attend - or attempt to crash - the memorial. And how many were there on the perimeter? Five thousand peaceful fans.

I don't think the LAPD should be asking for public assistance paying for their enormous miscalculation of needed personnel. They need to be able to gather better intelligence to better protect our communities.

27. Acting mayor, JAN PERRY auth'd the money for the memorial, taking funds from the emergency fund, funds that are used for fires, earthquakes, she has a history of unwisely sponsoring events in LA, she helped sponsor a very POORLY run Film festival called Jules Verne Film festival, which by the way was also run by frenchmen who then RAN back to France to escape the vendors they owed, one of the french men was known for improper actions towards young men and boys who attended. She needs to be removed from office for authing city funds for a Private event

28. As a mom, ( and i don't have a lot of money) If someone sexually assaulted my child ( i have a little girl), I would want that person in jail, I would want that person punished in such a way that he would not be able to hurt another child, no matter what. I would insist on going to trial so that person would go to jail. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE would I just accept a payoff, bloodmoney. Oh I molested your kid...lets settle out of court heres a lot of money. As a mom it doesnt make any sense It seems way too false. And he was PROVEN INNOCENT the second time around. And that first kid Gavin kept screwing up his facts. And if he was such a pedophile after the accusations he was such an easy target how come no other kid accused? Just because your accused it doesn't make you guilty. A lot of people act as if they KNOW like they where there and anybody accusing him here was NOT..they dont know...I don't know either but I hope he rests in peace, I belive he did more great things in his life than anybody here on a hypocritical moral high horse can even dream of accomplishing. Michael even gave more than he had..
