Not all congressmen feel like Rep. Peter King -- and yesterday in D.C., a group of Democratic reps showed their support for a House resolution honoring Michael Jackson.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, who spoke at yesterday's memorial, is pushing for a measure which would recognize Jackson as a "global humanitarian and a noted leader."

Jim McDermott (D-WA), John Lewis (D-GA) and Shelley Berkley (D-NV) are in -- with Lewis making a point to call King's comments "out of line" and "unnecessary."

As a LAWYER, I must say that MR. Michael Jackson wen througt court to face this accusation of child amonestations. The result after such a taught trials was to declarate non guilty or responsible of such a things. So as persons, democratics, civilizated we are he must be give back from society his right to stop with this. Any person who respects law, has to act and think like this. Non of us as received such acussations and I beliebe that MR. Michael Jackson`s children deserves aswell to be respected, as all this people is saying he was a pedophile, for free, can hurt incredibily to them now and in the future.
SO LETS STOP EVERYBODY TALKING FOR FREE AND DO GIVE SOME RESPECT TO A PERSON WHO WAS NOT DECLARATED GUILTY, IF THOSE CARE ABOUT KIDS GIVE RESPECTS TO HIS KIDS.MICHAEL JACKSON WAS A VERY VERY MUCH INVOLVED PERSON IN PAIN OF OTHERS, AND HE WAS A TRULY LEGEND THAT AMERICANS SHOULD BE SO MUCH PROUD OF. Michaels life and his many contributions to the World should be recognised, he has made me want to stand up and do something to help underpriveledged children and I'm sure many others will be wanting to follow his example, so I want to thank him for that and all the enjoyment he has brought me over my 50+ yrs. Lets applaud the fact that he was different!

169. 166 what exactly did he do? I keep hearing these statements, but specifically what did he do in the last 15 years? Who did he help? The cancer patients he took advantage of?

I dont' even want my child to know who he is much less honor him!!!!! How do you raise a young boy to become a great man? By showing him examples of great men and this is who america is choosing? Forget for one mintue he is black. Now what has he done besdies make a great music video to deserve a congression honor!!! How do you think that makes our military feel, what about the mother and fathers who gave their childs lives for our country that aren't honored..........drugs, molestation, self mutalation( look what he did to his face) etc. this is what this man's reputation carries....I can't believe he woudl even be considered to be honored. Not to mention, this man was so selfish he took the risk to take all these prescription drugs w/ out consider the outcome and how they might effect his children. Great performer? To some, yes, Great person/father? Not.

Let him rest in peace and concentrate on something worth while!

Quit acting like you know what really happened. Michael Jackson contributed financially and with his time more than any of us could imagine doing ourselves. Michael Jackson should be honored for his contributions to the world.
