Congressmen Peter King: Click to watch
Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee
, who spoke at yesterday's memorial, is pushing for a measure which would recognize Jackson as a "global humanitarian and a noted leader."

Jim McDermott

With all the problems this country has this is what these buffoons in congress think they are getting paid for - to worry about Michael Jackson. The guy was a great dancer and entertainer, but not a great singer and had a legacy overshadowed by self mutilation and child molestation charges his minions are too quick to dimiss as lies becsue of the worship of his celebrity status. But with rising unemployment, and O's failing stimulus package, they are going to diddle with this as if it's important.

Were those charities he really donated to because they looked more like political organizations. Anything can be called or given charity status and really have nothing to do with the word.

Grabbing for straws now-what charity isn't political? Do religious charities count more?? And lets forget that religion has its politics. too....So money he earned and gave away from his heart doesn't count unless the title of the charity has a saints name in it.??.. Wow-what an ignorant world we live in...

With all the problems this country has this is all these goons have to do is woryy about Jackson? He was a great entertainer and dancer but not a great singer. His record of album sales will never be hit because technology has changed with file sharing and downloading music., His legacy is overshadowed with charges of child molestation his minions are too quick to dismiss as lies because of his celebrity status.

He spent 20 million dollars a day on excesses of drugs , expenisve trinkets, and a staff at his beck and call to even take him to the bathroom, but is hailed as a great humanitarian.

Yeah, with all the problems the country has this is what congress is spending time on. The people if Iran have much more sense and guts to get rid of a corrupt government.

OMG!!! OK MJ was a very talented human being. He might have not been a pedophile. He was never found guilty of that charge. OK he did pay people off once or twice to keep from going back into court. BUT besides that mJ was no humanitarian. He was a good person and a very talented one to. BUT not worthy of an act of congress. He was an addict and half a billion in debt. That much we do know. NO addict is worthy of congress noting them. NO ONE!!! Not even Saint MJ.

Michael Jackson gave over $300 Million dollars to charity while he was alive, now that he is dead , he's giving an additional $200 Million. How much money has Congressman King given to charity? Not even a fraction!! This money has gone to end hunger, AIDS research, burn victims, cancer, education, and more. Someone that has donated half a billion dollars needs to be recognized!! RIP Michael Jackson the KING OF CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS!!!!!

What a piece of #%(@ Peter King is - I never even knew who he was and was even more shocked to realize he is a public representative by his big fat slobby appearance on television! I thought it was unappropriate, unnecessary and totally out of line for him to make those statements - as it was for Hannity (who I never watch and never will again!), and the female prosecutor who should know better! He was not convicted and believe me, if anyone knows the people of Santa Barbara if there was even "the slightest chance" he could have been guilty they would have convicted him on the slightest of chances! Anytime that anything happens in Santa Barbara County, and/or whenever there is police drama - the first words out of the mouth of Santa Barbara County Citizens is "they must be from L.A." I totally understood Michael's innocent love for children and totally believe he was innocent! I think Peter King is a pig and most likely a closet peidiafile himself, I doubt he'll be re elected to anything and think he only wanted to get his name out there by his stupid statements! As far as hannity goes, I wouldn't watch him and he looks creepy too! Neither Hannity, that jaded female prosecutor, and Peter King has no class - regardless of what your thoughts are or are not regarding any person, when that person has a loving family and three very young children left behind to mourn and grieve, a person with class says nothing of their own opinions and allows them to grieve! The female prosecutor is most likely jaded due to the numerous cases she tried and lost on the subject of child sex crimes. For some reason she's an Ex-prosecutor, and that says alot cause it's usually the scandal someplace that gets you a seat on Hannity's panel! I'm sure Marion Barry will have a seat next!

I'm glad the ever racist Jamie Foxx wasn't included in the services for Michael Jackson! For everyone on this site suggesting and believing that MJ was guilty of the charges he was was found NOT GUILTY to be - just SHUT UP already! The law gives everyone the right of innocence until proven guilty, and when you are found to be NOT GUILTY you have won that innocence and the benefit of any doubts! So just shut up already and go watch Hannity on Fox to get your kicks!
Or better yet, involve yourself in some charitable world humanatarian work like Michael Jackson did! Go pick up trash on the beach if you need something to do that makes you feel better about yourself's! Unless you can match the hunmanatarian work MJ has done for the world, you got no room to be talking trash about him or anyone else! Zip it and get yer own life!
