Jackson Used Employees' Names to Score Drugs

7/10/2009 3:10 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Michael Jackson went to a variety of doctors to get strong narcotics and used multiple aliases (including the names of several employees), this according to notes compiled during the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's investigation back in 2004.

Sheriff's detectives interviewed Chris Carter, who worked as Jackson's bodyguard prior to the Sheriff's raid of Jackson's home in 2003. According to Sheriff's Department notes obtained by TMZ, Carter said he would get Xanax prescriptions for Jackson under various fictitious names. Carter told detectives that Jackson would even use his name and the names of other employees to score prescriptions.

In addition to using his name, Carter said Jackson would use the names of Frank Tyson (a Jackson employee who was a prominent figure in the molestation trial, having had numerous contacts with the accuser's family), Jesus Salas (Ranch manager) and Joe Marcus (another Jackson employee) to get prescriptions.

Various pill bottles were found at Jackson's Neverland Ranch. One bottle of Alprazolam (generic for Xanax) was prescribed for Frank Tyson by Dr. Arnold Klein. A bottle of Prednisone found at the Ranch was also prescribed by Dr. Klein in the name of Peter Midani.

A bottle of Percocet, a narcotic painkiller, was found with the name Michael Armstrong, prescribed by Dr. Gerald Labiner.

A bottle of ERY-TAB, an antibiotic, was found with the name "M,M." The prescribing doctor was Dr. Carey Logan from Las Vegas.

A prescription receipt from a pharmacy was found for Alprazolam (generic Xanax) and written for Frank Tyson by Dr. William VanValin. Another receipt from Dr. VanValin was for written for Xanax in the name of Manuel Rivera.

People plz. The man died. How do you think his children will react or/and feel if they see all the comments and suspicions about their dad. Because let's not forget he was a dad first of all and jobwise he was the best entertainer ever. Plz let's keep everything in perspective and let's not feed the vultures. And as far as the "news" value of this article is concerned, where is the "news" in it ?

So again the question is . . . why didn't authorities take action? Must of been paid off so not only do the doctors have to be invstigated or punished but law enforcement has to be investigated as they dropped the ball. So, what do any of them have to say for themselves. THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DISGUSTING. Not one? You mean to tell me not one person surrounding this man could have gone to the authorities? THIS IS PREPOSTEROUS.

I take that back . .. even if they went to the authorities NOTHING would be done as NOTHING was done. My God this evidence existed six years ago . . . there is a network of coverup.

#29. Like it or not, MJ WAS an addict. A self admitted one at that. Just because he used prescription drugs to help ease his pain (I read some where a long time ago that he also had injured a vertebrate?), both physical and emotional doesn't mean that he could not function as a human being. Or as a father.

#18. I don't see the date that the prescription on the left was from 2003, I do however see that both prescription labels have a DISCARD by date in 2003. That's typical. Normally prescription meds have a one year life span, even penicillan, meaning, throw them away after that because they aren't any good and aren't going to have the effect as when they were first prescribed.

#27, Aside from plugging your book, you made some very valid points and congrats to you on your sobriety.

#26 Yes, it is an F*d up world. It was long before MJ passed. I don't believe the molestation charges, but that's up to me whether or not I choose to believe it. And, you're right, someone with that many narcotics would most definitely be in trouble. But, the Judge would not necessarily lock them up, he might have ordered him to treatment. You'll have to discuss that with the LAPD though, they are the ones that confiscated all of those drugs from his house. Go figure.

#30. I agree, but I believe that Klein (does it look like he had a little uplift surgery above his eyes or is it just me?) said he prescribed those medications for MJ after procedures he had?

Seems like Michael and the doctors should have been in jail a long time ago. Using other people's names to get medication is not a joking matter and is illegal. If the courts had put Michael in rehab back then, maybe he would be alive today.

Who Cares

OMG...Does anyone really care? If he were a crack addict would we be blaming his dealer for making him smoke? He was a gorked out pedophile who purchased children when he began being prosecuted for molesting someone elses. Enough with the Michael Jackson news....entertainer or not...he is not worthy of this sort of praise or leaving his purchased children orphans as he didn't even formally adopt them

I really feel you should take Dr. Gerald Labiner's name off of this article. He was my doctor for years and he would NEVER PRESCRIBE medication for someone UNLESS he himself felt that the patient needed it.

Did you ever stop to think that the prescription was really written for a REAL patient of Dr. Labiner's and that somehow it was among Michael's scripts? Perhaps the patient didn't want the Percocet anymore and gave it to Michael Jackson.

Also, the address listed for Dr. Labiner was one he hadn't been at for years. Perhaps someone STOLE his RX tablet!!!

Why was nothing done about the drugs found back in 2003. Maybe Michael would still be alive. The family should have pushed harder for recovery. Maybe even threaten to take his children from him. Thats what you have to do to an addict. Sounds mean but that would have been the best way of trying to get Michael attention.

okay Mj had a problem and it seems like alot of these prescriptions show that. alot of them also show that he was trying to break that addiction by using other therapy type drugs for outpatient detox. and one dr on a show, CNN, HLN...can't remember which one said Diprivan could have been being used as a method of "rapid detox". I mean if he was out like a light, that means he not up taking the 20-40 pills a night that he used to take??? also by being out like a light he is skipping all the terrible withdrawal symptoms, shaking, tremors, sweats, vomiting, ect. Too bad Dirprivan essentially puts you in a medically induced coma which is JUST WRONG to do to a human being. Who knows whose idea it was, but some DR showed this dumb crap to MJ back in 97 and he probably used it whenever he attempted to get clean. He should have just went to good old rehab and did it the right way. He skipped over the "mental" aspect of rehab and always ended right back on the drugs. It's sad, but he is gone now. And as much as i hate to say it, it is for the best for him anyway. He was a wreck and with no one to help him, all he could do was die or continue to live like that???? The evil Drs that advised him of this and injected him will pay the price for being greedy. MJ paid the price for his actions with his life

How do we know that these employee's themselvels are not the drug dealers or dope addicts who perpertrate fraud and lay the blame on Michael Jackson dying of drug overdose to escape prosecution.

I see that LIAR Dr. Arnie Klein gave MJ "Xanax" under a phoney name ..( frank tyson)..If he knew MJ for 25 years then that means he was over medicating MJ..for years..!! Klein was on CNN saying that doctors that do that are Criminals..Well, Dr. Klein you're a criminal too..!!!!!
