Jackson Seemed High After Leaving Docs

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson used to leave the offices of various doctors looking "out of it," according to a former bodyguard who was interviewed by detectives during the 2004 child molestation investigation.

Chris Carter, a former Jackson bodyguard, was interviewed by detectives from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department. Carter told detectives he would drive Jackson to doctors' offices in New York, Florida and California. The Sheriff's documents, obtained by TMZ, say "[Carter] named Dr. [Arnold] Klein, Dr. [Allan] Metzger, Dr. Barney from Solvang, Dr. Saunders and Dr. Farshchian."

The notes continue, "Carter described JACKSON as being sharp and 'in tune' prior to the doctor visits and afterward he would be out of it and sedated."

The notes also say "Dr. Farshchian told him that JACKSON was addicted to Demerol, but said he was giving JACKSON a placebo to wean him off."

Carter talks of an incident where Jackson was intoxicated in a hotel room and fell on his face. Carter said he confronted Jackson and spoke with him about his drug problem for an hour. Carter said Jackson denied having a problem. According to the notes, "Carter said he told Jackson he was not comfortable in getting prescriptions for him." Carter says he then quit being Jackson's bodyguard as a result.

33. To all of the people that said his friend/family did not care, that is simply not the case. I believed his family deeply cared for him. However, they had no strings to pull to force him to get help. Most people get help when they hit rock bottom. However, every time MJ hit rock bottom, he would get bailed out financially and he had the money to keep people away. Maybe his family could have gone to court to force an intervention, but it is really pointless to force intervention on an adult that won't admit that they have a problem. Even if they would have gotten him into rehab, he would have come out and did the same thing if he was not accepting the reality that he had a problem. His enabler doctors are the ones to blame. They were drug dealers plain and simple. I cannot even say they were doing it legally because they were not-they were no better than the crack dealer down the street...In some respects I think they are worse. The crack dealer has no obligation to care for the welfare of his customer. These doctors did have an obligation to make sure their patient was not abusing drugs. However, they continued to chase the Jackson money and kept on writing scripts.

34. The skin disease Michael allegedly had is very real, as my own grandson who is of mixed race showed signs of it in his late teens, and it is spreading. People who are not experts on skin diseases should keep their mouths closed until they are.

35. I think that Debbie Rowe should be closely interrogated by the authorities. I always suspected her marriage to MJ as suspicious. She was a nurse working under Dr. Klein. She may have been a channel through which he got drugs and was monitoring it. I smell a conspiracy between her and Dr. Klein. If you watch Dr. Klein's body language, appears very sly and dishonest- and his half answers. Everyone is looking at the obvious- the doctors- no one is looking into Debbie Rowe!! She should be investigated. Aslo, she should not get the kids- she clearly sold those babies to MJ.

36. Regarding:
32. #6 above comments should not be published on this site. How on earth should MJ has pubic hair for sideburns! If you are white, you are nothing to talk about. Maybe you are the one with pubic hair all over you. Let the Legend rest in peace. Your are just JEALOUS because you have not done anything in your life to be commended. MJ will always be loved by me and others. I think everyone should let him be and if they cant say good, say nothing at all!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Most people are not jealous of creepy Michael Jackson. He is no legend. He is no icon, and he is no father. You are the one with mental health issues since you can't seem to accept the truth that the disturbed human being you adore has killed himself.
37. Being someone who has known many people that have died from drug overdoses, know that this is a horrible situation. There's really nothing you can do about it. If a person decides that they want to do drugs thats what they are going to do, even if you get them help. Alot of people go to rehab just to get out and go on an even bigger binge.. Although it is sad that no one tried hard enough to help this man, who was obviously crying out for help. I mean didnt TMZ report that he had been carrying around a suicide note? atleast he didnt blow his face off. The man died high, happy, and peacefully.....
38. 26. California Child Protective Services, where were you? Paris's declaration that Michael was the best father and that she loves him sounds like a cover-up for something. A perfectly timed photo op at the very least perhaps. To benefit whom? Does she know that normal fathers wouldn't even be caught dead wearing lipstick, mascara, and other clown make-up like father Michael? Or, like sleazy grandfather Joe? How many normal fathers does she know who are educators, policemen, firemen, architects, engineers, bricklayers, construction workers, manage stores, ranchers, or pick vegetables rather than sing inane lyrics, spin and moon-walk for a living? How many fathers has she known who eat their food at the family's table, say grace before their meal, and attend PTA meetings at their child's school rather than paralyzed into a zombie-like state on prescribed toxic drugs of choice? Where does she go to school, and how many PTA meetings did Michael attend? How many fathers has she known who don't carve up their face to look like a monster mask? The people in her pathetic life are like a Halloween comedy year-around.
Wait till this kid figures out that she was spawned in a surreal enviornment of lowlives - womb renters, skells, drug addicts, drug dealers, hustlers, pimps, liars, and corrupt family and friends. That'll really make her cry!
AMENNNNNNNN!!!
In the REAL world all of these enablers that KNEW he was addicted and using in the home with the children (which is rather obvious he was )
would be brought up on charges..and now to read Janet and KATHRYN knew in 2007 just convinces me more the children DO NOT need to be in that home..I was hoping Grace would get them someway but NOT now. Grace also KNEW and never reported it to CPS >> GOD only knows what all these children had to see .. for example the report that the children said Daddy liked to play dead sometimes~~was it pretending or him in one of his comatose states??and that was just the excuse he gave the children.
Did you see the cluttered neverland home?
Im reading now where Ole JOE syas it will be HIM and Kathryn raising the children and thoughts of the children performing..Dear Lord someone do something QUICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
42. I am still in shock about Michael's death, I think that the prens and we have to leave in peace, he is died. It is very sad, he had all to be happy, less the true love, he was unhappy and alone man. Besides his family never helped him, they knew about his problems of drugs, Janett, the sister more near to him didn,t nothin to help him. Now its late and is time that Michael rest in peace. He is an icone and his music will leave for ever.
Its doesn,t matter if was black or white, he was a human been and he saw the pain in other persons, he did many work of charities. don`t forget you that Michael gave part of his money to many institutions, he had a great heart.
we love Michaell and RIP
44. I knew this would happen, the press would begin digging for dirt... i said so during his memorial services. The poor man isn't yet buried and it had already begun and it will only get worse. Show some respect for his family and especially so for his poor children - when they are older they will read this crap on the internet.......why would anyone want to kill the memories these children have of their daddy...who loved them immensely, as they did him.... enough now. Think on...would anyone want all their lowest moments spread across the media world....how would your family and children feel!!...Think on....
Poor MJ was subjected to a lifetime of press-abuse, don't you think he has now earned the right to rest in peace!!!!!!
45. I was fortunate enough to work with MJ early in my career. He was an incredible artist. Talented beyond your wildest dreams. Extremely generous, and a hard worker. I actually went from a staff assistant at the Hit Factory in NYC to freelance engineer under Swedien and MJ. They were due to start in Los Angeles when the Northridge earthquake hit so they moved to New York. One room was all Bruce, the second room was the writing room. I started assisting Bruce's writing partner Rene Moore. I would track stuff with Rene, and Bruce would come in and tell me what I did wrong, sit in for a few hours and set us straight. After a couple months MJ arrived and the entire tour rig was moved in along with Brad Buxer, Andrew Scheps, and Eddie Delena. I continued to assist them until the whole crew moved to L.A., they decided to take me with them. I would assist Bruce during the day, and help out every where else at night - assisting, engineering, programming, and on one song playing guitar. We had two rooms at Record One, and two rooms at Larrabee where I met John. At one point in NYC we had just about every room at the Hit Factory. The crew was great, and I learned so much from all of them. I learned to engineer from Bruce Swedien, John, and Eddie, and got to sit in with producers like MJ, Jam And Lewis, Babyface, David Foster, Teddy Riley, and Dallas Austin.
I was actually asked to leave the project early on because there were too many people around and MJ didn't know me. Luckily, I was rehired about 10 days later. At the wrap party MJ apologized profusely, and expressed his gratitude. Truly the most sincere man you will ever meet.
Some random memories:
One morning MJ came in with a new song he had written overnight. We called in a guitar player, and Michael sang every note of every chord to him. "here's the first chord first note, second note, third note. Here's the second chord first note, second note, third note", etc., etc. We then witnessed him giving the most heartfelt and profound vocal performance, live in the control room through an SM57.
He would sing us an entire string arrangement, every part. Steve Porcaro once told me he witnessed MJ doing that with the string section in the room. Had it all in his head, harmony and everything. Not just little eight bar loop ideas. he would actually sing the entire arrangement into a micro-cassette recorder complete with stops and fills.
At one point Michael was angry at one of the producers on the project because he was treating everyone terribly. Rather than create a scene or fire the guy, Michael called him to his office/lounge and one of the security guys threw a pie in his face. No further action was needed . . . . .
During the recording of "Smile" on HIStory, Bruce thought it would be great if Michael would sing live with the orchestra. But of course, we didn't tell the players that. We set him up in a vocal booth off to the side. They rehearsed a bit without vocals in, then during the first take Michael sang, just about knocked them out of their chairs.
His beatboxing was without parallel, and his time was ridiculous.
His sense of harmony was incredible. Never a bad note, no tuning, even his breathing was perfectly in time.
Once, while we were taking a break, I think we were actually watching the OJ chase on TV, there was a news program talking about him being in Europe with some little boy. I was sitting next to the guy while the news is making this crap up. He just looked at me and said this is what I have to deal with.
I spent close to 3 years working with him, and not once did I question his morals, or ever believe any of the allegations. I wasn't even a fan then. I saw him interact with his brothers kids, other people's children, and at one point my own girlfriend's kids. I got to spend a day at Neverland with them. A completely incredible human being, always looking for a way to make all children's lives better. Every weekend at Neverland was donated to a different children's group - children with AIDS, children cancer, etc., and most of the time he wasn't there.
He was simply living the childhood he never had. In many ways he never grew up.
I was assisting Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis while they recorded the background vocals for "Scream" with MJ and Janet. The two of them singing together was amazing. Super tight, no bad notes. One part after another. When they took a break they sang the showtunes they used to sing as kids. Again, perfect harmony. Mj refused to sing the "stop f*ckin' with me part" because he would NOT curse.
I was the tape op for the recording of the background vocals on "Stranger in Moscow". Scared the hell out me. Michael was dropping in and out on syllables, rearranging the notes and timing as he put it down. No Pro Tools at the time, just 2" tape, and my punches.
I erased a live keyboard overdub that he played one night. He came in the next morning, replaced it, and never uttered another word about it.
I was there when Lisa Marie was around. They acted like two kids in love. Held hands all the time, and she hung out at the studio for quite a while. I never questioned their love for each other.
We recorded a Christmas song during the summer of '94 that needed a children's choir. Michael insisted that the entire studio be decorated with xmas lights, tree, fake snow and a sled for their recording. And he bought presents for everyone.
The last weekend of recording on HIStory he came to me and Eddie Delena, and said "I'm sorry, but I don't think any of us are going to sleep this weekend. There's a lot to get done, and we have to go to Bernie on Monday morning". He stayed at the studio the entire time, singing, and mixing. I got to spend a couple quiet moments with him during that time. We talked about John Lennon one night as he was gearing up to sing the last vocal of the record - the huge ad libs at the end of "earth song". I told him the story of John singing "twist and shout" while being sick, and though most people think he was screaming for effect, it was actually his voice giving out. He loved it, and then went in to sing his heart out. . . .
Later that night, while mixing, everyone left the room so MJ could turn it up. This was a common occurrence during the mixes, and I was left in the room with ear plugs, and hands over my ears, in case he needed something. This particular night, all the lights were out and we noticed some blue flashes intermittently lighting up the room during playback. After a few moments we could see that one of the speakers (custom quad augspuergers) was shooting blue flames. Mj liked this and proceeded to push all the faders up . . . .
MJ liked hot water while he was singing. I mean really hot !!!!! It got to the point that I would melt plastic spoons to test it.
Bruce and I were talking about walking to the studio everyday in NYC, and what routes we took. Michael looked at us and said we were so lucky to be able to do that. He couldn't walk down the street without being harassed. It was a sad moment for all of us.
The studio crew got free tickets to the Janet show so we all went right from work one night. About halfway through the show we see this dude with a long beard, dressed in robes dancing in the aisle behind. I mean really dancing . . . it was Mj in disguise. Kind of like the costume Chevy Chase wears in Fletch while roller skating.
He got one of the first playstations from sony in his lounge . . . we snuck in late at night to play the games that hadn't been released yet.
A couple people on the session hadn't seen Jurassic Park while it was out, so MJ arranged a private screening for us at Sony.
He was a huge fan of Nine Inch Nails Downward Spiral . . . .
I was lucky enough over the course of 3 years to have access to the multitrack masters for tour prep, videos, and archive purposes. To be able to pull these tracks apart was a huge lesson in production, and songwriting. A chance to look into the minds of geniuses.
Of all the records I've worked on, MJJ was the only company to give platinum award records.
One day we just all sat in the studio listening to his catalog with him for inspiration. He loved the process, he loved the work.
