32. I take Xanax. They come in many strengths but even the .25mg pills (lowest dose) taken 30-40 at a time would put someone in a come or kill them. You do build up a tolerance to Xanax but no one could take 30-40 of ANY dose without needing medical attention and a stomach pump. Trust me. I have been on them for over 20 years and 6 mg. for me (which is two pills in my case) knocks me out for two or three days. If he were to take 40 or 40 mg. he would have been dead a LONG time ago.

34. I take a low dosage of Xanax for panic attacks. I take one daily & I have to see my Doctor every 2 months. They only prescribe it for one month & then I have to call my Doctor every month for a refill. When you are rich people will do anything for you, even Doctors. So very sad. I hope these people pay for helping MJ kill himself.

36. ....as i said once before....NO ONE - including TMZ- the whole MEDIA - was not sitting beside MJ as he was taking pills/drugs....1 - 20 - 100 a day.....? who knows.....?....all MJ`s working staff would like to be in the game.....the police too....---->

Taking ten pills and more: it's like trying to suicide hymself (please, speak with real physician when you give us partial information, Mr TMZ.com), it's a call for help with a first result: a gastric lavage.
This product have a real effect on panic attacks or anxiety, but after. I thing it is more dangerous with combination of other drug.
Alcohol is more dangerous that xanax.
Let Michael RIP, your are not the police or the courts ( and stop making money with this...)

39. I've been on Xanax for 12 years. I was agoraphobic and had daily panic attacks. I take four 1 mg. tabs per day and they don't sedate me. They mainly keep me from having more panic attacks. I still have the panic, but less frequently and when I do I take an extra dose of Xanax and it subsides. This has been a miracle medication for me. I don't abuse it, and it concerns me that all of these people abusing (celebrites mainly) are going to end up destroying the ability to get medication, for those who truly need it. If I had to continue with constant disabling panic, I would most certainly have killed myself by now. It seems that MJ abused far worse things than Xanax and overdid the Xanax use.

40. I dont believe this guy. It makes no sense... no one prescribes that many Xanax's... if MJ took that many each night, he wouldve been dead loooooong time ago. He wouldve been in a coma state and never woken up LOOOOOOOOOONG time ago.

41. the comments that about how much could kill him aren't all correct, as your body develops a tolerance. I fortunately stopped xanax years ago, but I took up to 15 a day. I went to rehab and was taken off everything and still suffer to this day, now on half clonapin as my system is so screwed up. From what I understand it takes quite alot to die from. I believe the Diprivil is what killed him, and I hope that whoever adminstered it will be held criminally responsible.

42. I have a couple of comments: first, it's not just the number of pills, but the dosage you have to look at. If they were .25mg pills and he was used to taking 2mg pills, it would take 8 of the .25mg just to equal 1-2mg pill. So taking 10-20, etc, may not really mean much if it was a lower dosage per pill. Secondly, as others who have actually experienced Xanax a good deal have said, once you become tolerant of it, it takes quite a bit to have an effect. And lastly, also pointed out, regular Xanax is a very quick acting drug and doesn't last long. The newer Xanax XR (Extended Relief) provides longer lasting dosages.

Having said all of that, I do admit that a) if they were 2mg pills and b) he was taking 30-40 per night, that is about 60-80mg per night, which admittedly is a lot of Xanax. If he were taking that much, I could certainly see why he was now trying Diprivan, which I think is just crazy! I personally would never take something like this, and would never understand why a doctor would prescribe or allow something like this. There are other meds out there that are safer and better suited for insomnia. I think Jackson had been given Diprivan for one or more of his numerous plastic surgeries and liked it, and decided to try and use that to treat his insomnia. His doctors, though, should have pointed him in a different direction, to something appropriate and safe for home use and directed for use for insomnia.

The other meds, such as the pain meds, really aren't that big of a deal. The dosages weren't that high, and certainly in line with someone with chronic pain from injuries and lupus. The only thing that stands out really is his Xanax usage, which clearly if he was taking 60-80mg per night, is pretty high. Either he had a problem or the Xanax was no longer effective in treating whatever condition it was being used for (insomnia?). If it was for insomnia, his doctors should have prescribed him something better suited to treating it, such as: Nitrazepam or Triazolam, which are actually closely related to Xanax, but more suited for insomnia disorders.

43. To finish my earlier post, I think in the end what killed him was the Diprovan. There is no way he should have ever been given that medicine for home use, by anyone. I understand he had severe insomnia and that Xanax was no longer effective, but to go from Xanax to Diprovan is just crazy. I guess we'll find out for sure in a couple of weeks...

44. This is a bunch of Bull@&*& The amount ofpills per day and the Hi $ amount does not add up! Do you know how muany pills you get for 45000 Per month! This is insane no one can take these many pills and for years. The whole story is fabricated to make MJ Look like a big Addict. Every day they keep adding more injection sites on his body. Now all of asudden all these people that were around him are saying the amount of pills he was taking and demerol daily and this and that. This is a crock. With the amount of pills and shots and this and that he would have to be wheeled around in a bed 24 7!! Xanax common pill widely prescribed and 30-40 per night! Load of crap i take 2 and it makes you tired imagein 30-40 . Story is false jackson is still alive no one seen his body the family did not show anyone not even to prove that he actually passed away! The only phot that was circiling around was a planted photo to make you believe he was dying or dead in the abulance! if he was heavily guarded then how did they get that shot of him , besides being behind the large gates!1 That was a wax figuer . made from
Madame Tussauds wax factory. this was his plan to escape. he idolized how elvis faked it and he did the same.the media took the bait and now he has the motion set the media will hype this and now they are the fuel/ MJ is alive not even his closest so called friends attended his funeral?that is because they know he is not dead . he just could not live in his life anymore thanks to ythe media hounding him and destroying his character... live well MJ

Excellet post! I feel the EXACT way as you DO. By the way notice no one actually seen MJ loaded onto the ambulance. Also, the only family members who actually went to the hospital to see MJ was his mother, LaToya and Janet who all looked like they rather be somewhere in Hawaii. It was said that the kids were at the hospital too. This is completely false! Frank Dileo and others made this up.

Here is more to take notice of:

-Liz Taylor and Macauley Culkin, two of MJ's closest friends didn't even come to any of the funerals.
- At the Staples Center for the Memorial, MJ's kids looked as if nothing in the world was worrying them. They did however did a good job acting as if they were really sad once they got on the stage.

45. No way he was taking that many xanax every night. Someone is lying. But...if he did, they were low dosage and he would have slept hard, maybe woke up and then went back to sleep. This is a controlled substance and hard to get so if a so called doctor and I use the term lightly, was giving him this many to take, he will more than likely be in big trouble. Then again, people with power usually don't get in trouble do they?
And if he was taking all of this legal "dope" it's a wonder he lived this long!
So very sad for him and his family.
We seem to put people on pedastals and sit back and wait for them to fall and they usually fall hard. Many seem to be making or figuring out how to make money off of his troubled life and it is horrid.
