62. This is complete nonsense! I personally had issues myself with Xanax a few yrs ago and I was taking 6-8 mgs a day because my tolerance for it gotten so high. However, if I had been taking (40 pills) 40 mgs/day as suggested MJ did in the article, there is NO way I'd be alive to talk about it! If that extremely high dosage didn't kill a person, it probably would've caused severe brain damage! Not to mention the fact that even tho you build a tolerance, it still stays in your system and leaves you feeling groggy. It's not like you take it and then 3 hrs later it wears off! The man wouldn't have been able to even function! So don't tell me MJ was taking 40 mgs (40 pills) of this stuff each day! Pffftttt! That's just utter nonsense!

63. Ya know, there is no other word for it but "junkie". It would be nice to believe that he had it together... That's the facade the entire Jackson family likes to portray to the public.

But the bottom line is, a person has a CHOICE in these things, don't they? I doubt there was someone there, twisting his arm to get him to shoot up, etc. Given the down-flow of his career, suicide might have been the more attractive option to him in his brain-starved mind. With such a grievous ending, it would at least allow his kids to have some dignity, and by God... What if they had all ended up living with him, becoming junkies as teens? Michael couldn't handle the idea of his kids getting any older, not being in his control. He had managed to lose control of everything else, as it stands. Using the drugs was his way to lose identity, yet still maintain the lie.

64. Michael would have died a long time ago if he had been taking the ten pills (depending on strength) let alone 30 to 40. Xanax is for panic attacks and it slows the breathing down. If he had downed 10 pills at one time then he would have died.

These guys are lieying...... don't believe a word...It's unbelieveble how even after Michael's death , many persons are trying to earn so much money selling mallicios things about him......They should be named ANIMALS and not HUMANS. 68. This man was a Son, Brother, father and someday his children out of curiosity might search what was written about him after his death. MJ was a giver, a giver of himself in entertaining the world and his money in giving to more charities than any other person in history. If MJ did suffer from a addiction, Psychological disorder (anxiety ..Panic..depression) that would mean he was human. How many people out there take Xanax??? LOTS and none of them are under the stress that MJ was as an entertainer, former accused child molester, etc. A dependency or addiction is a road much taken by MANY not just MJ. MJ has passed on and his children are still here. They are young and have a tough road of healing ahead. People need to remember that he was HUMAN of flesh and blood like everyone else. I would hope that once the toxology reports come back that Hollywood, Paparrazzi and star struck followers will see that there is no glamor in what has happened here. There is no dignity in trying to exploit, humiliate, expose or discrace a person for money. MJ was a man we only knew of how the media portrayed, which is never a true or fair light.........we need to respect his passing and let his soul be. Allow his family a quiet time to heal and move on with our lives.

69. As a former addict myself, I find it hard to believe he ingested all these pills and sill manage to function. There's no doubt there's truth to all these rumors, but I feel like it's mostly exaggerated. He would've been dead, long before. Not only that, but I wonder if some of his enablers, were taking some of these pills too? It's obvious the people around him, apparently weren't saints by any means. Case in point, Dr. Klein himself, who claims to be a long time friend, looks like he's a doper too. Believe me, it takes one to know one.

70. #40 & #41, crazyjoe, your comments are the only ones that have made sense so far. It's amazing, I was thinking the same thing. Even if he did take that many Xanax and still suffered from insomnia, it would be because his body built up a tolerance to the Xanax. I've known people that do actually take a large amount of Xanax and it hasn't killed them. Yet, one of my BF's was an addict, he abused Xanax and pain meds. He was actually taken off the Xanax and the doctor put him on Klonipin and as for the pain meds, the doctor put him on some kind of med, I can't think of the name of it, but it was kind of like Methadone. He did good for a while, then he went back to taking Xanax, the pain meds and for some odd reason his doctor, or I should say one of his doctors (he also doctor-shopped) prescribed him Morphine. Needless to say he was found dead in his living room. The toxicology report came back that he had Xanax, codeine, Morphine and some other sedative in his body. When he was trying to wean himself off all the drugs he was doing good. Then he started back to his old ways and his body had built up such a tolerance to all the meds he took that he overdosed. I guess he couldn't reach the "high" he was seeking. It's amazing how his story is similar to MJ's. From my BF's story and from research, pain meds and Xanax or any other med in the Xanax family is a deadly combination! His cause of death was from the respiratory depressing effect of the strong pain meds and the fact that he was eating at the time caused him to choke but he couldn't cough it up because he was also taking codeine cough syrup which surpressed his coughing reflexes, so eventually all the stress from the choking and not being able to cough the food put stress on his heart and in turn caused him to have a heart attack, so the official cause of death was from cardiac arrest brought on by respiratory distress and of course the meds that set all of this in motion. Both are sad stories but could teach people about the drug addiction and the repurcussions from it.

72. these are all the vampires & leeches that Lisa Marie speaks about in her testimony re; Michael Jackson....soooo many people knew soooo much, , MJ's situation called for some really tough love (years ago) & I admire her for trying to. Addictions in any shape or form has its strongholds to high degrees wether it be nicotine to xanax...look people, we cud go all around the mulberry bush talking about addictions but we must go to the roots of it...the influences in our lives , the up-bringing, the enviroment we create around us, the people involved in our lives, sometimes we've got to go deeper if there are hereditary curses to be dealt with,for some freedom can happen very quick, for some it may take years,but with regards to M.J no wonder the bible tell us how 'money is the root of all evil'.... no wonder God looked down & decided well Michael... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH my boy!!! cause the truth is that even in Michael's sedated state, how ever wasted he was God could have snapped him out of that- not a prob...God had been merciful & patient enough for a long time tho.
Theres a scripture that reminds me of Michael Jackson, it is Psalms 37 v 23-24...it goes,

People make it sound like its real bad to be addicted to a drugs but there are a few differences

You get physically depended on the stuff after just a few weeks, I had to take the stuff for several years cuz I react badly to anti depressants

So I was addicted too, PHYSICALLY, no one can help that, its not he had a choice if he needed the pills, he is not a bad person for needing those pills and not a bad person that he actually was a simple human being with normal reactions to meds

And I am sure he had a lot of anxiety

Addiction to Xanax is by far not the same as addicted to heroine
