Raid at Jackson's Netted Heavy Drugs

Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies who raided Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch back in 2003 found a syringe, powerful narcotics, vials and IV bags containing what could be anesthesia.

We've obtained documents that were part of the Sheriff's Department's investigation detailing what was found in the search. Among the items ...

-- A vial of Versed -- a powerful sedative
-- Several IV bags containing "a milky white fluid, located in a small cardboard box on top of the bathtub." Propofol and other anesthesias are milky white. As we first reported, Propofol was in Jackson's home the day he died.
-- A vial of Promethazine -- an antihistamine with strong sedative effects
-- A bottle of Alprazolam (generic for Xanax, a powerful anti-anxiety drug)
-- A bottle of Percocet -- a painkiller
-- A syringe
-- A vial with Demerol in it
-- Numerous loose pills outside bottles
-- A bottle of Prednisone -- a steroid
-- Ery-tab -- an antibiotic
-- Prescriptions for Xanax that had been filled
-- A prescription for Alprazolam
-- Oxygen tanks
-- IV stands

61. So if so many people knew that he had a problem in 2003 (including Sheriff's department and Santa Barbara court) why did no one try to help him, try to stop it. Surely it must be illegal to prescribe drugs to people who do not need those (MJ's employees). Why no one took all those doctors to court????????????

62. Michael was responsible for what he put in his body. He knew drugs and hammered the doctors to medicate him.

63. The dates on those are old though, and he hadn't been to Neverland in years. Who's to say he was still dependant on them? Didn't he get dragged to rehab at one time?

64. Totally misleading and irrelevant given that this is 2009. Give me a break. "Heavy Drugs"? Please. This is certainly not the medicine cabinet of someone who has a drug problem. A painkiller, anti-anxieties, an anti-inflammatory steroid, an antihistamine (w/ sedating properties..gasp!), and an antibiotic. Pretty middle of the road stuff and in reasonable quantities. And what's the big deal about the Buprenex? Yeah, the letter sounds a bit strange, but it looks like the doc is offering him a safe detox from his Demerol addiction. Good grief.

65. So if so many people knew in 2003 that he had a problem (including Sheriff's office and Santa Barabar Court) why did no one take to court those doctors? Surely it must be illegal to prescribe drugs to people who do not need those (MJ's employees)??? What is wrong with you people? !

66. Are there still ppl that are ignorant enough to think that he was bleaching his skin to be white?? either way, the above link is great. It really explains his condition.

I was also one of those ppl that doubted his innocence because of all the stuff out in the media...but recently, I read the court transcripts online somewhere where they cross examine the kid and i can totally see why MJ was found innocent. The kid wasn't consistent with any of his accusations. It just made me wonder...what if MJ was innocent? It's sad what he had to go through.

about the magazines...correct me if i'm wrong..i'm not sure about those specific magazines but aren't they just regular magazines of nude adult women? like playboy?? what's the big deal?

RIP MJ

67. I dont know why this all becomes public record or how tmz gets the LA police to give them so much information. I wonder how questionable the tmz staff is and what they will do to get as much dirt as they can. Harvey I would think one of these days your staff is going to manage to get you sued. I have lupus and one of the medications that they give for nausea is promethazine yes it is listed as anthistamine but mainly used for nausea and it is not a powerful sedative. I really wish that alot of celberities would get together and run a website on tmz employees. Yes I look at your website but I look at hundreds of them and you are by far the most invasive. Maybe they will do that and we can expose all of your skeletons with the morals your staff shows I cringe to think of what they would find.

69. So the police found all of this back in 2003, and didn't bother to question these doctors THEN??? Maybe if the stupid police would have investigated these doctors THEN, maybe MJ would still be alive NOW. Dumbasses.

70. Ok we are supposed to believe that Michael isn't a pedophile he was just a 50year old man who died a 10 year old kid. Then to top it off we are supposed to believe and drug addict of some 25 years who died of a overdose is a good daddy. We are also supposed to believe that Michael isn't responsible for his drug problem but is responsible for his music.

It is amazing to sit here and watch MJ fans basically make up excuses for Michael on every aspect of his life except his Music as if it speaks volumes of the kind of person he really is. Well there are a lot of sick minded people here that got things backwards.

I just hope you do not or have not reproduced, as kids growing up with parents that think Michael is a good dad have no chance.

71. If all of these different types of powerful drugs, including Propofol and prescriptions in different names, was found in MJ's s home in 2003, why weren't these doctors reported then. I can't understand this. It doesn't make any sense.

If they didn't go after these doctors then why are they going after them now? I guess a person has to die from these drugs before the police do anything about it. Maybe if this was handled in the proper way back in 2003, MJ would still be alive today.

72. Well, it doesn't really suprise me, i think i would do the same thing if i was in his shoes..
I just don't like the way people try to make him look like a drug addict. He was just suffering.. I'm glad he's in a better place now. Like Marlon said, maybe now they will leave him alone. And about some of the drugs. I take alprazolam and that's not as strong as it seems, it just to relax a little bit more but there's no harm in that. But anyway.. I don't care what he did with those drugs.. I'll miss him anyway. Love you MJ.

73. Yeah - both magazines are 'normal' heterosexual mild porn. I cannot understand why more emphasis was not put on this at the trial. Definately does not fit the paedophile profile.

74. Did everyone forget that he had several conditions that would've required certain medications to treat them? He had lupus - a painful disease that would've given him much joint pain, he had the accident with is hair years ago which was still being treated for and no doubts giving him constant pain, his best friends put him under extreme pressure in court with their bs molestation stories that he was needing anti-anxiety pills and probably suffered with other stress-related disorders as a result including insomnia, he was having surgery after surgery done when the tabloids kept making fun of his 2 nose jobs that he likely felt unhappy about his looks and no doubts was needing painkillers after surgery and was getting dependant on the anaesthesia used in the operations. Doctors were feeding him pills on a spoon instead of giving him proper councelling and the long-term use of taking all those tablets no doubts resulted in a tollerance and a dependance on them.

Come on guys, this isn't totally his fault. It's on the hands of his doctors, the tabloids, and those around him who didn't see he needed help or they saw it but turned a blind eye to it.
