17. First this isn't anyway close to Oprah money. This is less than 5% of what Oprah has; she is worth 2.5 Billion dollars.
Second BB King didn't just make his money from singing. He also owns a string of nightclubs all over the country.
Third lawyers always inflate numbers to get a bigger settlement.

Realistically BB King probably has around 20 million cash. Which is still very impressive.

21. Oprah spends 100mil to take her entire staff and their families on company vacations (Hawaii - few years ago, Europe - as we sit here commenting). She chartered jumbo jets, coach buses, and a cruise ship through the mediteranian. Oh yeah, she owns her own studio, part owner of oxygen network, and she just bought (the discovery channel, if you haven't heard). No, B.B. King doesn't have Oprah money. However, with touring, the liscensing(his name to instuments), merchandising, resturants, and clubs, he is sitting pretty.

Discovery communications added discovery health to the venture and Oprah added Oprah.com to the venture. Adding these asset together created a joint company called OWN. 30. First of all any of you that know B.B. King will know that he doesn't need someoneles's money he has his own. Secondly he would have a hell of a lot more if it wasn't for the fact that he had a squirley manager that was making more money than B.B. King and yet he is crying over a million dollars.
