If it is true that Billy was involved in the international drug trade, than this is no suprise. I am shocked, with information coming out about his drug ties that he is still doing commercials, post-mortum. Quite involved if this story holds water:

Nasty, nasty comments 'bout poor 'ol Billy! But then, when an icon falls most of us take a sick kind of joy in it. And, of course, I'm not above doing so myself! In all honesty though, who would have expected the cocaine stuff? Not me!

Yeah, he sold mostly junk, it is true. But who cared. Most people bought because they liked Billy, his robust nature and "damn the torpedoes," full speed ahead delivery, even though, deep down, they knew it was crap! Long live the Pitch Man! Long live Billy Mays!
