47. Re: The Matthew Broderick comments... he was in an accident in Ireland in the mid-80's... killed a mother and daughter and pled GUILTY. Received a fine, which was paid. End of story. Bad accident... accident being the key word... it was apparently a dark stormy night... no doubt something that haunts him to this day.

She Hit a car from behind, and it caused a chain reaction accident, and a woman was killed as a result...that is WHY it took so long to straighten out! If BRANDY HAD BEEN DRUNK, it would have been a SLAM-DUNK prosecution.....but because it was a moving violation accident, that resulted in a chain reaction, it all had to be sorted out...So STOP PERPETUATING RUMORS AND MISNOMERS!!!!!!

Brandy didn't cause this accident. The fatal injury, while certainly tragic, was the fault of the decedent herself. You can't go get high on pot, hit a vehicle, then slam on your brakes in the middle of a freeway and not expect to get hit, nor was it reasonable to expect Brandy to have anticipated such a numbnutz move. If there had been any evidence of negligence on Brandy's part, she would have been charged with vehicular manslaughter. She wasn't. What does that mean? It's time to get a clue folks.

Bottom line: It's the dead woman's fault. Period.
