62. You twerps. She did nothing wrong. She was not charged with anything. She passed her sobriety tests (while the other driver had drugs in his system) and it was judged she had no culpability in the accident. But because she is a celebrity, people who just WITNESSED the accident will probably sue her. Stop piling on and making brash bull**** uninformed statements.

63. There was NO DUI issue with Brandy in this accident! And if any of you would ever drive on this stretch of freeway where it happened - you would know that traffic is always crowded and crazy there - and it takes only an instant for ANYONE to rear-end another car! People go from 60 to 0 in a second all the time! There is no such thing as "enough space for adequate stopping time" on LA freeways (or in any other big city for that matter). Sometimes - there are just accidents!!

So calm down and stop bashing Brandy! Guess none of you could ever be in a car accident that wasn't your fault - even a rear-ender that couldn't really be avoided ???? Check your crazy rage people. Go exercise or something!

That makes about as much sense as those racist cops who said that the black guy who got shot in the back 41 times, Amadou Diallo, had it coming because he was black.

Brandy is a piece of garbage who deserves to rot in hell for causing the death of another person, in part because she is too vain to pay attention when she is attempting to pilot six thousand pounds of steel at 60 miles per hour. Matthew Broderick and the color of anyone's skin have nothing to do with this.

Bottom line: Brandy killed and the fact that she feels little shame or remose is testament to how shallow a person she really is. Go buy a Hummer and an Escalade so you can run over some schoolkids next year, dear...

Only selfish fools that are not paying attention to what they are doing.

If you were able to wake a dead person,
that had been killed by another in a vehicular so called accident.
And you were to say to that person
"If there is any consolation Sir, you
were not killed by a drunk driver.

putting on her or his make up, trying to find that CD that somehow fell between.

66. you guys have no idea what you are talking about. brandy was not drinking or on drugs. she was driving when the person in front of her stopped on the 405 freeway and she ended up slamming into the car causing a chain reaction. she did not case the crash or she would be in jail for involutary manslaughter. this was a busy freeway. she has to pay because she is rich and people sue rich celebrities because they know they will likely settle. she was driving a little too fast but did not cause the accident. brandy is sweet and has never done anything wrong. put yourself in her shoes. i would hate to be a black celebrity in trouble. i hope all of you are judged just as you pass judgement on her.

67. Why should she go to jail? She didn't commit a crime. She was the cause of an accident, someone had to be at fault and it was here. The people didn't get what they wanted from insurance so they sued her in civil court.

70. Civil Settlement doesn't mean that the person can't still seek a criminal court case. Really, it's both parties involved. If the person with the injury wants to still go ahead with a criminal charge, they can, but they decided to settle.

No one BOUGHT their way out. It was an agreement.

Sanchez went home and had a drink, came back and pleaded with Miami cops not to cite him or it would ruin his career. 74. Actually, wasn't the woman killed proven to be high on marijuana? It was shown somewhere that the lady killed was actually partly (mostly) at fault for slamming on her breaks thinking she was closer to the car infront of her than she really was.
