LAPD Treating Jackson Death as Homicide

Multiple law enforcement sources tell TMZ the LAPD is already treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide, and they are focusing on Dr. Conrad Murray.

Michael Jackson Death
Law enforcement sources tell us the evidence points to the anesthesia Propofol as the primary cause of Jackson's death. As we first reported, vials of Propofol were found in Jackson's home after he died.

Law enforcement sources say there is already "plenty of powerful evidence" linking Dr. Murray as the person who administered the drug to Jackson. The evidence includes various items found in Jackson's house, including the Propofol, an IV stand and oxygen tank.

Dr. Murray's lawyer would neither confirm nor deny if his client administered the Propofol.

And we've learned the LAPD has had "multiple conversations" with the L.A. County District Attorney's office, although the case has not been formally presented to the D.A.

16. 7. I'm an alcoholic, but if somebody keeps giving me shots and I end up dead crashing into a tree somewhere, you can't totally blame the person who kept giving me the alcohol. The blame would have to mostly fall on me as well. It was my choice.

This is very different from am alcoholic. A bartender doesn't have knowledge or authority to give you medical advice regarding your life and a doctor does. Michael was receiving drugs which only a doctor can prescribe. A doctor is expected to provide you with proper medical advice, treatments, and medicine. Michael knew he was wrong for taking these drugs but he also received reinforcement from his doctors which might have confused him to believe this was ok. Just like when Michael told that nurse that other doctors have already given him Diprivan/Propofol and the doctor said it's ok as long as someone is there to monitor his breathing. Michael was seeking relief and help from his doctors and his doctors instead of helping him just gave him whatever he wanted because all they saw were dollar signs. These doctors are crooked and a sick or addicted patient provides them with a lot more money in their pocket than a healthy patient giving them a perfect reason to feed Michael with things that he became addicted to.

17. Clink, clink! I hear the sound of silver bracelets and the sound of a crumbled medical license hitting the wastebasket. Hey #8, try to keep your witty insights to a few lines or less.

18. #7: actually in some places within the USA, the establishment that kept giving/selling you the alcohol WILL be held liable, should something happen to you/others as a result of your intoxication. the reasoning should include no less than the fact, that you judgment was impaired by the alcohol and it was up to the (greedy scumbag) merchant to refuse further business with you. you DO need their continual supply to become a hazard to yourself & society. no supply, demand takes a walk.

19. Murray should have known better. But Klein (and all the other doctors through the years that prescribed drugs to an addict) should go down as well. Other perpetrators like enablers who allowed their names to be used for prescriptions to aid MJ's addiction should be held accountable. AEG is somehow negligent as well. How in the f@ck do you insure someone for an overdose but not for a natural death? Murray should go down, but a whole lot of other people should go with him.

20. oh & ya i agree that the fact that he waited 30 mins to call 911 & he fled the scene after does look pretty bad for him
instead of giving MJ the drugs he should of got him help like a doctor is suppose to do!
golddigging c**t!

& michael might of thought that if the doctor gave him the drugs that it would be safe to take them
i mean i would

21. I hope they make a movie. Will Smith could play MJ and Robin Williams could be the doctor. Rosie O'Donnell could be Debbie Rowe. That would be awesome.

22. Just saying that people live life the way they want. Addiction to any substance, drugs or alcohol, eventually leads to bad consequences. Even if he had not died, was he really alive anyways?

27. To those who think this story is boring, please F off and get a life.

It is ridiculous to compare this to alcoholism; these are controlled substances. These doctors are nothing more than drug dealers. The customer has paid the price. Now time for the pushers. Pull licenses, send to jail. Control supply and you can control demand.

28. I cant shake the feeling that it was more than 30 minutes before calling 911.

29. i agree with those of you who are saying that the addict is to blame for their addiction. but what about children? should they be blamed if they want drugs or alcohol and they find people who give it to them? or should the suppliers be blamed? in this case, obviously the supplier would be blamed for taking advantage of a minor. whether we want to admit it or not, jackson, although a musical genius, had the emotional maturity of a child, and this was even diagnosed by a psychiatrist during his 2003 trial. if a doctor has any proof or even suspicion that their patient may have psychological problems which inhibit their judgement, isn't it their responsibility to say refuse treatment and direct them to counseling? and even IF michael did have the emotional maturity of a normal 50 year old, don't you think it's STILL the doctor's responsibility to tell patients NO when they are asking them to do illegal things? yes, michael is blame for his own death, but there are other players here. any doctor who violates the law, especially if that violation resulted in a death, should be punished. i'm not sure if it should be charged as murder or negligence, but he should be punished somehow. it's about time law enforcement cracks down on, in the words of deepak choprak, these "drug pushers". maybe if an example is made of murray, this epidemic in hollywood will come to end end, or at the least be curbed enough to save some lives!

30. I kinda feel bad for the doc in a way. I mean, here the guy gets star struck by Michael Jackson and gets suckered into being MJ's lackey to administer anesthesia to him every night put him out and take him back up. I wonder how many doctors MJ had to approach until he found a sucker that agreed to do it? I'll bet you there were a bunch. So now Dr. Murray takes this job and thinks to himself he's hit the lottery. He's making $150,000 a month, living and touring with Michael Jackson, one of the biggest stars in the world...he thought he was set! Living the life!

Only one small problem. You were pimping yourself out and doing something you must have known was illegal and that you're not only not licensed to do but I'm sure don't have proper training for. The sad part is that your life will never be the same. Everyone in perpetuity will know you as the man that killed one of the biggest stars in the world. Granted, I'm sure it was by accident, and some will be able to forgive you if you apologized, but let's face it...you've tried to cover up your actions, you waited 30 minutes to call 911 because you obviously panicked and were trying to cover your ass. You obviously didn't want the paramedics to see what you were doing in that house. The whole plan went to pot. Once those paramedics arrived...and saw that Michael was already dead...and saw the drip stand, the propofol in the bags, the oxygen tanks...it was all over. I'm sure your whole life came crashing down around you and you wished you had never taken the gig.

The question now is...what's the right course of action? Do you issue an apology...to the family...to the world...and admit what happened and try to appeal to people's better side? Or do you continue the BS charade and deny it...go to trial...eventually end up either ocnvicted of manslaughter or at best gross negligence, a felony count of administering drugs without proper license, etc etc, lose your medical license. The truth is if you go to jail, you're finished. You'll never survive. You'd be eaten alive by every inmate in there that would target you as the murderer of Michael Jackson.

Your best bet then would be to cut a plea with the DA. Try and keep yourself out of prison or at best go to solitary or some special protected area. You'll lose your medical license, that's for sure. Your career is over. Forget about medicine. Perhaps you could write a book sort of like OJ did about what happened in the house that night. I would actually recommend this approach. Cut a plea, do 10 years for manslaughter, you'll be out in 4. Write a book while in prison and figure out another career you could do when you get out since medicine won't be an option.

The most important thing is to show remorse and humility. The sooner you come out and apologize and admit what happened, the better. If you try and run and lie and over up etc...people will just end up hating you even more. If you admit what happened then at least you can tell that Michael wanted the propofol and that he was going to do it whether you were the doctor that did it or not.

It's true, you were a bit of a sucker...ok, more than a bit. You weren't mature enough...or wise enough to realize that Michael was a drug addict and it was YOUR job to stand your ground and not feed his habit. But you obviously didn't rise to the challenge. Don't make the same mistake again. I think it would be better for everyone...yourself...the family...and the public if you came out and fully disclosed what you were really hired to do...and what happened that night...and apologize from the bottom of your soul. Otherwise you stand no chance.
