Michael Jackson's Unreleased Song

The song -- "A Place with No Name" -- sounds similar to the song "A Horse with No Name" released by the group America back in 1971. We're told several years ago America's manager gave his group's permission for Michael Jackson to record the song, "A Place with No Name" -- despite the similarity.

America's current manager, Jim Morey, who was also Michael's manager in the late 80's and early 90's, tells us, "The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael's fans to hear."

It's unclear when Michael recorded the song.

47. Although I feel very bad about MJ, I don't care for this song. I never liked A Horse With No Name. MJ could do much better than this.

50. awesome - still missing you so much, MJ - King of Pop. and to all the idiots that keep coming on this site to post negative garbage about him, what's up. you freaks claim you don't like him or the music but you just can't stay off the site. is it some sort of obsession you are experiencing or what? i mean if you don't like something on tv, you turn the channel. if you don't like reading about MJ - King of Pop go the hell on to another site. do realize the internet has other sites besides TMZ? you will never be able to defame MJ - King of Pop with your juvenile remarks. go get a box of crayons and color.

52. Don't you people read anything? MJ asked permission from America to use the music....try reading the article before making a dumbass post. It sounds great btw.

53. Sounds really beautiful! Too bad Joe and Katherine and the J family - not MJ's kids - will likely make $$$$ off it.

Just one question, why do the lyrics feature a double negative? "Take me to a place without no name". "Without no" is a double negative. Why does this matter? It means that the lyric is in fact written in the affirmative. What he's singing means, take me to a place WITH a name. Why did MJ add the "out"?

Just an interesting detail for your journalists to explore TMZ.

RIP MJ. Gone too soon......

54. I just think everyone needs to lay off of MJ. He broke music barriers. He topped the charts more times than Elvis and The Beatles. And lets not forget that he was acquitted of all charges brought against him. He was a great musican and humanitarian. He is no longer with us, I think everyone needs to just let him rest in peace, give him the privacy, in his death that he didn't have in his life.

56. it sounds like America: I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain

Does anyone else think it sounds like that???

59. The Jacksons love America.

Remember Janet Jackson also copied the opening of "Ventura Highway" on one of her songs "Someone to call my lover".
