Jackson Doc Declines to Chat with Cops

We've learned Dr. Conrad Murray canceled an interview with the LAPD.

As we have already reported, the LAPD is treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide. Detectives have their sights set on Murray, as the person who may have administered the drug Propofol, which we're told is the primary cause of Jackson's death.

We're told the LAPD planned a third interview with Dr. Murray earlier in the week -- the doctor was interviewed the day Jackson died and again two days later.

Reps from the L.A. County Coroner's office planned to attend the third interview, but we're told Dr. Murray's lawyer called and said the doctor would not be speaking to the cops at this time.

And here's the best part. Our sources say the cops called the lawyer back and they were referred to the lawyer's lawyer who said Dr. Murray's lawyer would not be speaking to them!

31. This won't go to trial.

It's waaaaay too compicated for one thing and the sh*t storm that would surround it would simply bring out so much (more) negative news out about "Junkie Jackson".......

Sad, but true.

33. This is so sad and senseless. I took my son to see Harry Potter this evening and cried in the theatre while thinking how MJ loves magic and movies. My soul aches for his childrens loss as well as all of us that truly cared about him and what he stood for. Good night everyone, I am off to cry myself to sleep.

-and LA or whomever your Cybil characters are tonight, don't bother I will not be looking at another post.

35. Unfortunately Dr. Murray can't be charged by the LAPD until the autopsy comes out - and now that's delayed yet again - guess they want to make sure it is absolutely airtight for evidence to make the charges stick - Meanwhile Dr. Death is hiding out and on the run - somehwere -

39. #27, on the contrary, unless the Dr. pleaded guilty or a plea bargain it would go to trial. The state of California is required to file charges when a felony is committed on behalf of the people of California. Even if the Jackson family wanted no part of it, the state has no choice, it's required. The only way to avoid it would be if the Dr. was willing to plea to some kind of settlement, which is possible. Should be interesting to see what happens.

41. It's quite obvious Dr. Murray is guilty for causing the death of Michael Jackson. His own behavior from that day on leads a prerson to draw only one conclusion. And perhaps if Dr. Murray hadn't been there that day, hadn't administered propofol, hadn't agreed to play Michael's licensed druggie Michael would still be with us today.

But I cannot help but be angry at Michael. He had Deepak Chopra and Rabbi Schmuley both willing and able to help him and he turned it down. When his family tried to help him he turned them away. Michael chose the medication over all else, except for maybe his kids. And the reason I say that is because I think Michael thought he was being safe and responsible with his addiction. He had, after all, hired some of the best doctors to help him stay addicted. I don't think he ever realized how much danger he was in.

But at the end of the day, as he laid there slipping away, the doctor he put so much trust in chose NOT to call for help right away. That doctor spent precious minutes trying to cover his own behind than trying to save Michael's life.

The whole thing is just so very sad.

42. Michael had cameras installed in each and every room. Everything that went on in that house is on tape.
However, the Police was not able to find tapes for the hour of the event on the 25th June. They were gone,

Is that what the doctor did during the 30 minutes before they called for an ambulance?
Obviously this makes it even more suspicious.

43. most people loved michael jackson for his work, performance but most importantly we love a underdog mj coming from basically a hard working family that had nothing and making something out of himself. i personally do not think that one doctor was the cause or the blame. there is many many doctors over the years that has PROFITED from and had a hand in his untimely death. we that loved mj is looking for someone to blame but mj was a person that no one could say no to except for one person and that appears to be his mother. we all can look and say why but we need to think mj as it appears wanted sleeping medicine and pain pills so i say lets go after everyone not one or a select few or allow the doctors that have the connections with there money to skip justice lets hang all but please not just another black man that happens to be a doctor. i would hope people are much more aware and educated today vs the 60's

45. Frankly, as much as I was a fan of Michael Jackson, I can think of a parallel life that Michael could have led if he had gotten the psychological therapy that he obviously needed for many many years. Imagine if he had had the right help and could have gotten past some of his obvious psychological trauma from his youth and instead of becoming a plastic surgery addicted recluse had led a more normal life, perhaps gotten married for REAL and aged normally and gracefully both as a person and an artist. Instead of dying the way he did...eccentric, alone and obviously mentally 'lost' for some time...he could have embraced his middle age and written music and performed as a mature, refined Michael Jackson. maybe his music would have been even more soulful and enlightening with the wisdom of age. He could have led a normal life with a wife that would never have let something like this happen because she would have nipped these crazy ideas like being put to sleep with anesthesia just when they were fleeting ideas. Just shows you what isolation can do to you. Anyone that studies mental illness knows that isolation is the #1 cause of mental and emotional problems. That's why people that are very social usually are the most emotionally healthy. Michael was too isolated for too long. That's how it got to the point where he could go in such a crazy, bizarre way.

Now we just wait till the trial...
