Jackson Doc Declines to Chat with Cops

7/18/2009 10:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

We've learned Dr. Conrad Murray canceled an interview with the LAPD.

As we have already reported, the LAPD is treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide. Detectives have their sights set on Murray, as the person who may have administered the drug Propofol, which we're told is the primary cause of Jackson's death.

We're told the LAPD planned a third interview with Dr. Murray earlier in the week -- the doctor was interviewed the day Jackson died and again two days later.

Reps from the L.A. County Coroner's office planned to attend the third interview, but we're told Dr. Murray's lawyer called and said the doctor would not be speaking to the cops at this time.

And here's the best part. Our sources say the cops called the lawyer back and they were referred to the lawyer's lawyer who said Dr. Murray's lawyer would not be speaking to them!

It's quite obvious Dr. Murray is guilty for causing the death of Michael Jackson. His own behavior from that day on leads a prerson to draw only one conclusion. And perhaps if Dr. Murray hadn't been there that day, hadn't administered propofol, hadn't agreed to play Michael's licensed druggie Michael would still be with us today.

But I cannot help but be angry at Michael. He had Deepak Chopra and Rabbi Schmuley both willing and able to help him and he turned it down. When his family tried to help him he turned them away. Michael chose the medication over all else, except for maybe his kids. And the reason I say that is because I think Michael thought he was being safe and responsible with his addiction. He had, after all, hired some of the best doctors to help him stay addicted. I don't think he ever realized how much danger he was in.

But at the end of the day, as he laid there slipping away, the doctor he put so much trust in chose NOT to call for help right away. That doctor spent precious minutes trying to cover his own behind than trying to save Michael's life.

The whole thing is just so very sad.

Gone too soon

Michael had cameras installed in each and every room. Everything that went on in that house is on tape.
However, the Police was not able to find tapes for the hour of the event on the 25th June. They were gone,

Is that what the doctor did during the 30 minutes before they called for an ambulance?
Obviously this makes it even more suspicious.

most people loved michael jackson for his work, performance but most importantly we love a underdog mj coming from basically a hard working family that had nothing and making something out of himself. i personally do not think that one doctor was the cause or the blame. there is many many doctors over the years that has PROFITED from and had a hand in his untimely death. we that loved mj is looking for someone to blame but mj was a person that no one could say no to except for one person and that appears to be his mother. we all can look and say why but we need to think mj as it appears wanted sleeping medicine and pain pills so i say lets go after everyone not one or a select few or allow the doctors that have the connections with there money to skip justice lets hang all but please not just another black man that happens to be a doctor. i would hope people are much more aware and educated today vs the 60's

Frankly, as much as I was a fan of Michael Jackson, I can think of a parallel life that Michael could have led if he had gotten the psychological therapy that he obviously needed for many many years. Imagine if he had had the right help and could have gotten past some of his obvious psychological trauma from his youth and instead of becoming a plastic surgery addicted recluse had led a more normal life, perhaps gotten married for REAL and aged normally and gracefully both as a person and an artist. Instead of dying the way he did...eccentric, alone and obviously mentally 'lost' for some time...he could have embraced his middle age and written music and performed as a mature, refined Michael Jackson. maybe his music would have been even more soulful and enlightening with the wisdom of age. He could have led a normal life with a wife that would never have let something like this happen because she would have nipped these crazy ideas like being put to sleep with anesthesia just when they were fleeting ideas. Just shows you what isolation can do to you. Anyone that studies mental illness knows that isolation is the #1 cause of mental and emotional problems. That's why people that are very social usually are the most emotionally healthy. Michael was too isolated for too long. That's how it got to the point where he could go in such a crazy, bizarre way.

Now we just wait till the trial...

Wait, wait, wait TMZ .......let me make sure I got this craziness right.

Dr. Murray's lawyer said that Dr. Murray will not be speaking with LAPD at this time and when the LAPD called the lawyer back....the lawyer got his own lawyer to tell LAPD Dr. Murray would not be speaking with them.

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!!!!!! WHY WOULD HIS LAWYER NEED A LAWYER????? LOL, LOL,

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why Dr. Murray's lawyer would need a lawyer? I have never in my life heard of something like this.

It sure sounds like Dr. Murray has a lot to hide. I hope he don't commit suicide or something before we find out the truth.

I am just waiting for the next episodes of this sad story. Independent of the final result of autopsy or about who is the one to blame for MJ's death, all of this will not bring him back to life. But, it is necessary.

I am a fan and will always be a fan. I will miss MJ no matter what decisions were made by him or the doctor they were made. Maybe this situation will prevent this from happening to another superstar from now on I will not be so obessive of someone that I admire. Everyone needs solitude and privacy in their life to do what they want and how they want. If you look at things today there is alot of addiction, even a television show that shows people addicted. The most important thing is to realize that you have a problem, whether it be cigarettes, food, or drugs. What so you do when someone with that much money, power to do what they want. Rumors had it that his family tried to help, but he turned them away, what do you do. I have been there when someone you love has a problem such as this, but thinks they are okay. They feel that they can handle the problem. Just a sad thing! Make God be with his family especially if they tried to help, but could not. Can you imagine how they feel the pain will never ever go away. May God be with his family and everyone who feels that they have lost.

My bet is that "Dr. Death" Murray has already been out of the country for awhile. With the help and advice of his attorney...who now of course needs an attorney.

You guys are so funny on this site telling the good ole doctors to run to a country without diplomatic ties or extradition laws to the US, even telling him to do plastic surgery. Well all is a lost cause unless one of his buddies get him a fake I.D. and get him out of the countries with him wearing a good face mask made by a C.I.A. agent who does those form of plastic surgeries. haha.

Anyway, his lawyer probably got a lawyer after he went on Larry King and incriminated his own client ... that was just foolish because it aired over many airways/TV stations and there were plenty of errors to note in the statements he claimed Dr. Murray gave to the LAPD. It would be good to bring down these professional who hero worship instead of doing their jobs but not at the stake of destroying M.J.'s image even more. Though M.J. is culpable, the doctors are responsible for treatment, many doctors don't even care for regular folks who are junkies, they will prescribe to get them out of their faces rather than to care for them. There are plenty of NP who don't care either but they are still more professional and caring than the good ole doctors. This is so shameful because what is put out there like a can a worms to light will affect his kids later in life maybe not so much his legacy because as a fan, we have to understand the human flaw and no matter what the human spirit can take but so much pain and punishment. M.J. was prodded, poked and punished by evil sinister plots to bring him down. He was purely a misunderstood genius who difference scares away people that they called them eccentricities. I have always said if everyone in the world was to be the same, we would all be bored. The media, the parents who set him up and business associates who plotted against his kind soul, they will pay in the end and if they don't certainly will their children and their children's children. The world is not ready for pure love, they did this to Princess Diana and tried to with Mother Teresa. The day will come when the world is ready until then all those who possess this trait will suffer at the hands of greedy, selfish, self-absorbed and angry individuals who find satisfaction in hurting others.

I feel no pain for Dr. Murray or any of the Doctor's culpable in this crime, whether or not it is murder or involuntary manslaughter, they all need to be punished. The doctor hid information and was lying, I could tell without being there at the home, at the hospital and even at the police station. There is also something fishy about Dr. Klein as well, maybe he will turn on Dr. Murray to keep himself from being locked up, although he appears not to be the snitching type cause he wouldn’t answer Larry Kings question about M.J.’s needle marks or prescription addiction, not that he hasn’t behaved that way in the past as well.

Gandhi stated that an eye for an eye will make the world go blind and I truly believe it, but when it comes to people like Michael Jackson and Princess Diana, it is hard to want to believe in this cliché. Like Princess Diana's case and Anna Nicole Smith's case, this will be dragged out in court for awhile and the charges may never stick, again another win for the AMA. M.J. was a pretty private person like me and although I would like to know what happen and for a person to be charged, I think in the end some things may unravel and too many snakes may come out of the closet that should be left alone for the sake of maintaining his already fragile dignity. His legacy may or may not go unscathed. Then again, I have lost my faith in the L.A.P.D. a long time ago and I just think that this is another dragged out thing to continue to damage Michael’s image for which they are famous for. What to choose, what to choose.
