Former 007 Wants Money Galore from Wife

7/19/2009 2:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

George Lazenby George Lazenby -- who once played James Bond -- is challenging his prenuptial agreement on grounds his wife is so rich he's become a joke to his kids.

Lazenby -- who played Bond in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" -- is asking a judge to void his prenup, then award him $16,133 in spousal support, according to divorce docs filed in L.A. County Superior Court.

The 69-year-old actor claims his estranged wife, 47-year-old former tennis pro Pamela Shriver, is "30 times a millionaire" and he doesn't want to explain to their three kids why mommy's house is so much bigger than daddy's.

It's not like George is broke -- he's got over a mil to his name -- but apparently 1/30th of $30 mil = poor.

brits ok

Pam's got more money than George cause she was a better tennis player and commentator than George ever was an actor. Those skills were there before he came into the picture he did not help her cultivate them. Bye Bye george, don't let the door knock you in the ass on the way out.

Just because he's a man, he shouldn't get spousal support?

Regardless how you attempt to paint Lazenby as the villain, prenuptial agreements that eliminate the right to alimony and other matters of public policy (child support, custody, etc) are often invalidated by the courts. The fact that Lazenby has some money of his own is relevant, but the large disparity of income is sufficient to mount a legal challenge, and BTW, in case you got them old time sexist notions, his gender is not a factor.

Women try to weasel out of prenups all the time. So why the big deal if a man tries it. Either way, they are whining little brats. If you sign a contract, live up to it !!

Their children are 4 and 5 years of age. I doubt very much that they will be comparing square footage of mommy's vs. daddy's houses. Their main concern is why mommy and daddy don't live together any more. Hey, George, don't drag your kids into this. They need a strong and supportive father, not a baby brother whose throwing a temper tantrum.

Money Talks

Women have been taking men to the cleaners for many years, now it's the blokes' turn. Nothing wrong with that and I am a feminist. Pam should see to it that her children are treated the same way whether they are with their father or their mother.
