Kiefer Sutherland is officially off the hook for that whole headbutting incident in NYC back in May ... because it amounted to a bunch of nothing.
The Manhattan D.A. has just rejected the case against the "24" star and we're told it's all because officials determined it was a petty matter that did not rise to the level of criminal conduct.
And it gets even better for Sutherland -- we've learned the L.A. City Attorney is equally unimpressed with the incident and will not try and violate Kiefer's probation from a prior DUI conviction.
Just like Jack Bauer, Kiefer got off virtually unscathed.

Kiefer is liberal. A socialist, actually. Read up on his grandpa, Tommy Douglas, who created the Canadian healthcare system.
Kiefer also recently attended a $15,000 a plate Obama dinner, and has donated the maximum to the DNC. He's not even an American citizen (Canada and Britain), but he's a big-time liberal. And I love him.

Some people are a bunch of self-righteous cry-babys! Every little incident needs to be turn into "criminal charges" for some people. What a waste of taxpayer's money and last time I checked, the prisons were overcrowded because, boo-hoo!, no one wants a prison built in their city. So convict them and then put them where? You can't prosecute everyone for being immature. Next thing you know, this comment will violate someone's First Amendment rights - get over yourselves, seriously. C'mon - leave him alone. He's Canadian. Canadians are too friendly to get charged for this kind of B.S. Further, what the hell? A headbutt in a bar? C'mon anyone can do this and it leads ot skirmish. Getout of the club in time and no coppers can nab ya.

Shouldn't have gone to court to begin with. What happened to the good ol' days when a couple of guys would get into a lil fight, get up and dust themselves off, laugh and go about their business. What an utter waste of court time
