6. "Give Me The NIght" and "Turn Your Love Around" are from the early 80s, not the 70s. And, wtf, it was Bill Withers not George Benson who sang on "Just The Two of Us"

8. WOW...TMZ at it's most dismissive... My guess is Jack-ass that wrote this has never heard of George Benson, and did some lazy research...Pay attention because you owe this great artist an apology. HE HAS WON 10 GRAMMYS and is considered one of the few Master Jazz Musicians in the US. His song 'The Masquerade was unlike anything the world had ever heard before...check out the youtube video from the show 'The Midnight Special'...Benson doing a simpler version of the song. Cannot imagine you saying the same sh*t about Clapton. Santana, etc. SHAME ON YOU IDIOTS.

10. It's not that he's irrelevant or is a has been because he's not. American fans may not appreciate him but he has an enormous Euro fan base and they clearly appreciate him. At last weeks Montreux Jazz Fest he was named as the worlds greatest musician.
He and other real musicians represent real music something that we hardly ever hear any more.

12. George Benson is one of the best musicians to ever hit the music scene. Keep you nasty comments for the amys and the brittbeys of the world not a world class act.

13. I loved his music. Between him, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers and Al Green - there was alot of good music to fill the airwaves.

14. Iagree -- he's a great jazz talent, but most Americans have taste that doesn't go beyond Madonna, Britney and the like -- they just don't know what truly good music is.
