6. a guest on nbc's today show this morning said that AI told paula at the end of last season not to come back. he said that the negotiations that they have been discussing arent real. they just wanted people to think that they were. evidently they've all known she wasnt coming back since the end of last season.

9. i'm glad she is going off -- so SICK of all that batting of eyes and flirting with simon, their distracting sideline chatter. and don't get me started on that pathetic "performance" on the show last season....that's an inspiration for the contestants?? get it back to the original point of the show -- the contestants and their music. and randy, hope you can come up with something original this year. "Dawg, Man, it just didn't do anything for me (grimace)" will probably get you booted off the show too.

10. I think this story is drawn out of proportion. A wage negotiation is something between the employer and the employed and not between the employer and the rest of the world. If the millions she’s been offered isn’t enough, she could just tell the employer no instead of twitter about it on internet.

My guess is that she wants sympathies from as many people as possible so she can cash in those millions she long for.

13. Hey $10 - 15 million dollars a year is chunk change for the producers of American Idol.
I don't watch the show. From time to time I will check out Youtube to see what's happening on
the show. The only stuff that I remember is that hot shot middle aged British guy on the panel
and Abdul. The contestants I don't really care about and don't they have like an MC on there as well?

15. Here's why "So You Think You Can Dance" is so much better - the judges are industry experts. Paula is a former 90's singer and a very average singer at best, Randy used to sit on on bass with Journey. Simon's the only true industry expert. Kara brought nothing to the table last season - she's worthless.

They need a panel of EXPERT judges to bring some credibility to the show. Idol does not current work. After 8 seasons only two winners have any career worth talking about and ironically most of the losers have BETTER careers over the people who won. Jennifer Hudson was 7th's place! Taylor Hicks and Reuben both one and where are their careers?

It's not worth watching when the winner of a show, according to the odds of the past 8 seasons, will be a total failure.
