Conrad Murray -- I Never Called Geragos!

Famed celebrity attorney Mark Geragos says he turned down a chance to join the legal team of embattled Michael Jackson physician Dr. Conrad Murray -- but the good doctor says he never asked him.

Geragos, who famously repped Jackson during his 2004 child-molestation trial, told E!, "I've been approached ... I represented Michael and I would not want to be in a position where I was deprecating Michael in any way, shape or form."

But Murray sees it differently. His current attorney, Ed Chernoff, released a statement saying, "Although Mr. Geragos would make a fine addition to any legal team, neither Dr. Murray nor anyone associated with him has approached Mr. Geragos for any reason, legal or otherwise. He no doubt meant that as a hypothetical, and was unfortunately misquoted."

He's tellin' the story.

6. seriously with all this information why not just arrest the man, maybe he does know more information that he can and would be willing to {lower jail time} assist with getting the other people involved and we can be done with this and let MJ rest

7. Too many doctors perscribed too many drugs to MJ. His system was full of a cocktail of drugs. It'll be interesting to see what the autopsy says. The Doctor will be convicted of an ethics violation, maybe lose his license to practice. He was just another pawn of Michael's.

12. Yeah, but here's what's funny: Geragos never tries cases, and he's never won a case. Amazing. You can be a mediocre lawyer and still be a lawyer for celebrities. The legal market is anything but transparent. You just don't know what you're getting.

Try a case for once, Mark!

13.

Good for him!! I love the line where he says he doesn't want to represent this guy because he doesn't in any way want to depreciate Michael in any way shape or form! Good for you Geragos...he was with Michael long enough to see the human aspect of his life and understand that it isn't just a money thing....

That doc is going down alone with all the other people involved in this...including his family!

RIP Michael J. Jackson
