Ryan Jenkins Dead -- Hangs Himself

8/23/2009 9:00 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

UPDATE: TMZ spoke with the manager of the motel and one of the residents. They say Jenkins checked in on Friday. He was dropped off by a woman in her early 20s who drove a silver PT Cruiser with Alberta license plates. She stayed for about 20 minutes and wasn't seen again. The room was paid for two days. When Jenkins didn't check it out today, the manager and his nephew went to check on him. When there was no answer, they entered the room and found Jenkins hanging by his belt from a coat rack. He was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. There was a laptop open on a desk inside the room.

UPDATE:
Lt. Steve Holliday of Buena Park PD addressed the press, saying, "The sadness of this is all is that Mr. Jenkins will not stand before an Orange County jury for his crime."

UPDATE:
His body was discovered at about 5:00 PM PT.

UPDATE:
Jenkins was apparently ID'ed through fingerprints.

UPDATE:
RCMP Sgt. Duncan Pound: "At this present time the investigation into the circumstances of his death is continuing, but preliminary evidence suggests that he took his own life. Any further details will not be released at this time as this investigation remains in its infancy."

Ryan Jenkins
has been found dead in Canada, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

He was found dead at the Thunderbird Motel in Hope, B.C. of an apparent suicide, according to RCMP Sgt. Duncan Pound.

Jenkins' body was discovered by motel staff. According to law enforcement sources, he was found hanging.

well

i just watched the local news, they had an interview with the hotel manager. he could barely speak, he had tears in his eyes and he was certainly choking on his words. the woman that checked him in is blond, very pretty and in her early 20s. the young man also was interviewed and said he walked past jenkins and he looked at him and all jenkins did was nod at him.

If the family thinks he was innocent and if it was a family member who took him to the motel why would she leave him alone in the room for 2 days? She must have known there was the possibility he would commit suicide considering the situation he caused himself..family member or not she should have called the police and let justice take its course..if he was 'innocent' then why would he kill himself?

The Buena Park PD press conference is up and it DEFINITELY sounds as if they are pursuing others in the murder.

It had to be someone who helped him mutilate the body and dump it where it was found. I think they took the Mercedes as payment and it is already scrapped

well

he could of been hitch hiking. there are lots and lots of ppl who hitch hike on that hwy, i see them all the time. we also get alot of visitors here from alberta cuz of the mountains and ocean. alberta is pretty flat. this woman could of been on route home to alberta, she has to drive past hope. she could of picked him up, a young girl, hes' a cute guy, who knows ? and she could of left him in hope and carried on to alberta.

you would think when she checked him in and if she knew of the situation she would clearly be nervous, anxious something ? i dont' know of a person who wouldnt' be.

GOOD. I'm glad he won't be sitting in a prison somewhere for the rest of his life. Or sitting on death row for 20+ years waiting to die. What a douchebag.

Although he could've just gone to Jersey and hid in plain sight. He looks like every other douche there. No one would've batted an eye twice.

Sad sad

I hope they find the vehicle. Please let no one else be involved. I want to sleep in peace tonight. I think if anyone else is it may only be in aiding hiding car etc. Hope not though. I think that's why they won't close it cause her car is still missing.

Corrector

With so much arse kissing by Buena Park PD, Marshals’ and RCMP about how great they are.

If they would have spent 1/2 the amount of man hours on 911 as they did on this case, they might have been able to stop 911.

If the victim was black, would it have been given so much attention.

ok .. im sad for both familes, neither families deserved to go through such grief .

BUT i do belive it's all Ryans family's fault.. If they hadn't helped their "little boy" hide, then he would still be alive ! none of this would be happeneing if it werent for themm

WHAT RYAN DID TO JASMINE FIORE WAS SICK .

But it wasn't his fault, he didnt know how to control his anger. Little Rich parents don't know the proper way to raise their kids, they hire nannies, because they're too busy doing whatever the heck they do.. So the child never had a civilized person around him, teaching him how to behave. Teaching him whats wrong and whats right . Setting an example, being there for him . I mean His parents were never around They just gave him whatever the hell he wanted, and dissapeared. Thats always the case with these rich families. they always give their kids anything they want, without teaching them the qualities of life. The parents like i said give them all the money in the world to do wahtever they want to do. because they think money solves everything .Then soon their kids grow up to be cocaine addicts, fail in school, and messed up overall . NOT ALL , but most . SO THE CHILD HAS NO DECISION BUT TO RAISE HIMSELF..AND that doesn't work so well .So i do believe if his parents raised their child the way all children should be raised, none of this would be happening, they wouldnt be in the positioin they are today ..

the OUTCOME of that kind of childhood:

the kid grows to become, spoiled little brat, twisted minds, always gets his way, its his way or no way , always gets what he wants, when HE wants .doesn't know how to deal with situations properly. I mean when youre used to getting whatever you want, and werent raised properly, you could very easily get ticked off from little things .

@No Different

Are you truly that ignorant? As if it matters where someone is from in regard to the fact that they killed someone..if Americans were judged on their own crimes the planet would flip sideways from the staggering numbers! Educate yourself you moron
