Jackson Burial Goes to Court

9/1/2009 11:10 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Michael JacksonTMZ has learned Katherine Jackson has filed legal papers asking the judge in the Jackson probate case to have the estate pay for the burial.

Informed sources tell us lawyers for the estate will neither support nor oppose the motion -- but rather they will leave it to the judge.

A hearing is set for tomorrow at 9:30 AM PST.

The burial is set for Thursday.

I love Michael as much as the next person, but you have to think of something. The family cannot afford to bury him. Janet was the ONLY other successful Jackson. This burial is insanely expensive. Only Michael could possibly afford it, maybe Janet. The Estate should pay for it, Michael would want it that way. He was distant from his family, but he WAS their provider. They have grown used to their lavish lifestyle, and their stability is threatened.

So what she asked for money from the estate? Michael left her millions of dollars and she can bury her son the way she wants. It's her money and it's her son. She's an old woman who just lost her baby. If I were broke and had to bury my child, I would get money from the estate and give my child a fancy burial too. Everyone is quick to judge but no one knows what this poor woman has gone through and will continue to go through for the rest of her life.

Yes, we all lost our beloved & troubled entertainer, but she has lost her child and deals with the fact she couldn't save him. She loved him and he loved her. So lets give her some credit for staying strong and stepping right in the raise his kids.

Now, the family can go visit him in peace without the paparrazzi and fans ragging on their nerves to the end of distraction. MJ deserved to be buried with Clark Gable, Sammy Davis Jr and the other stars w/ no access from the general public. No one wants to see a bunch of geekazoid Thriller fans hanging around his burial plot doing the moondance and crying like a bunch of raging idiots. The Jackson family gave the fans a memorial already, now shut up, be thankful and BEAT IT already.

Can someone PLEASE tell me if there is any type of connection between Prince Aldweed and the Sultan of Burnei?????? I know that they have the same religious beliefs, but is there anything else. Business ties etc....

If you can help, thanks in advanced

P.S sorry if you see this posted more than once, am posting it on all of Michael's threads hoping to get an answer.

If MJ's Mother can't pay for his funeral, why should she be given any controlof his estate!

It may be ok for MJ to pay for his own funeral out of the money from his estate, but why does the estate have to be strapped with paying for 12 burial plots at Forest Lawn. These other plots are for the rest of the Jackson clan which if they don’t have enough money to pay for their own burial plots then they should be buried where other poor people are not in Forest Lawn. MJ and Janet are the only ones that are famous that really deserve to be buried in such a lavish place. It appears to me the Katherine is still using MJ's money to support the rest of the family. By the time Katherine keeps going to MJ's estates asking for money to support the rest of the Jackson clan there will be no money left for his children. And what I would like to know are the children going to get any part of the 12 plots that MJ's estate paid for, probably not. Katherine seems to me to be manipulative, and looks like MJ didn’t see through her as so many of the rest of us do.
