O'Day Continues to Hail Hitler ... as Brilliant

9/1/2009 2:05 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

In an attempt to clear up the "Hitler and Castro are Brilliant" controversy -- Aubrey O'Day just issued the following statement to TMZ:

Aubrey O'Day

"Murderers and dictators generally are some of the smartest people out there - they just use their brain power for evil purposes.

I don't condone any of their evil behavior, but I was asked about their intellectual firepower... and in my opinion you can't have a low IQ and wreck [sic] that much havoc on the world.

What Hitler succeeded in doing, was deplorable... And I hope we never see such an abusive use of power again."

As for O'Day's claim that she met Castro in the past, Aubrey told us:

"I was a college student on a program called Semester at Sea, through that program chosen political science students attended a half day seminar of Fidel Castro and his thoughts on basically everything except Cuba's relationship with the US, lol. It was very interesting."

I understand what she is talking about. What these people did with the intelligence God gave them was deplorable but I have often wondered.....what if these people had used their intellect and powers of persuasion for good instead of evil?

Too bad we will never find out.

I don't get why people are making fun of her. She's totally correct. Even on the history channel they alway mention Hilter's high IQ and how he was one of the most moving and inspirational speakers of all time. How else would he have brainwashed so many people? These people are prime examples of "evil genius". She isn't saying she agrees with what they used their brilliance to accomplish, she's only saying that she understands that they weren't idiots with a whim to destroy. These men where brilliant manipulators who put together and plotted, unsuccessfully thank God, to change the world around them.

She is just a moronic media attention seeking whore! When will she realize she is totally and completely irrelevant.

Whether you like it or not, they were intelligent men as others here have posted. Hitler's research he directly had a hand in are where we got ideas of medicine, math and even modern highway systems from. Not to mention the other researches that he didn't have his own hand in, but sanctioned. He came up with ideas and hired the people to set those ideas in motion. Castro not only got an entire nation on his side, but he also successfully FOUGHT THE US and sent them retreating in a failure in the Bay of Pigs. The US LOST TO CASTRO and the tiny island of Cuba.

It's obvious here, anyone denying their intelligence has never even been through and passed history class. Many people who were the most heinous throughout history were also classified as geniuses. And it would be a VERY VERY stupid thing to do, to dismiss dictators as stupid. Other nation's leaders have excused the same thing and then their countries were taken over by those very men they underestimated. The biggest mistake for countries that could fight for themselves and lost is arrogance and a belief that another person was stupid.

Here is another Democratic view:

REP. DIANE WATSON, D-CALIF: So, remember, they are spreading fear and they are trying to see that the first president who looks like me fails. And I want you to know, people look at the United States as a country that has changed its ways and has elected someone from Kenya and Kansas. I'll put it like that.

You know, Watson sounds a lot like Fidel Castro, who said the same thing just last week. But you know what? She'd probably take that as a compliment. Here's what she had to say about the Cuban dictator:

WATSON: You can think whatever you want to about Fidel Castro. But he was one of the brightest leaders I have ever met.

I'll bet. He was also a murderer.

It takes a real genius to come up with a race-based theory like that.

Wow, yeah that really clears it up. That Aubry O'Day or whatever her name is, should just shut up & go away. No one cares what you think about anything. Last week she was saying how she wants Lindsay Lohan's boy/girlfriend Samatha Ronson. (Can't really tell what sex Sam is.) Now Hitler & Castro are brilliant? What an idot!

I must say, this whole situation is tragically funny, really.

This is a great example of how perception differs dramatically from reality, and the power that comes with public perception.

First, her comments were accurate, on point, and relevant to the discussion. Sean's reaction of talking over her, and repeating the same question that had little to do with anything other than state an obvious and known fact was childish, but his reaction served a purpose. He picked out two words from her sentence, Castro and brilliant, and ignored everything else she had said. That is when the perception of the situation changed from the reality of the situation.

Now she is on the defensive, and why? Because some glorified bully manchild didn't quite grasp the entirety of a single sentence or know how to have an adult conversation with someone about opinions?

I mean come on people, the History channel has show after show about how brilliant Hitler was, i think the title's are even "Hitler's Genius," or "Hitler's Reich" or what have you. Turn it on right now, i bet there's a Hitler program on the History Channel right NOW.

I hope common sense dictates what happens next in this case, but i doubt it. What's really funny is that Sean demanded her to answer his inappropriate question and when she tried to explain herself more he just cut her off. Such simple-minded, manipulative tactics - it places her in the position to answer for everything she said yet he can just sit back and watch her squirm without explaining himself or even saying anything that is remotely intelligent.
Tragic, and sad.

O'Day is less than intelligent however she is right, Hitler and Castro were very brilliant men. If they were anything short of brilliant how could the cause such terror. They truly out did themselves with brilliance, having said that the ways they chose to use their brilliance was less than admirable to most. I think they let their own personal views cloud their judgement, as most human beings do.

Mary P,

How did Hitler help math? Medicine and highways, yes, but that does not give a reason for him to be praised. Hitler does not deserve any kind of praise.

You are more wrong that Miss Danity Kane who got fired.

This is the PROBLEM with America right now. THIS is what has gotten us into this mess. Americans listen to people like this and take their word as gospel. Please America, please take a deaf ear to any "celebrity" who thinks they have a voice in political say because they think their belief on anything should be passed on to everyone else in America. For all the young folks out there who fell for the HYPE with this election...your future is at stake. Please VOTE SMART next election and not on ANY theory of HOPE be better start PRAYING!!!
