The Jackson Kids' Education -- Home Works

9/9/2009 2:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Michael Jackson's kids won't be attending a swanky school in Los Angeles after all -- the family has decided to keep them enrolled at the one learning facility they are very familiar with ... home.

Michael Jackson's Kids

A source extremely close to the situation tells us the decision was made not to enroll Michael Jr., Paris, and Prince at the Buckley School -- where Tito's three kids attended -- so they could continue being homeschooled by the same tutors they had under Michael's supervision.

The only difference -- their home is now the Jackson's place in Encino, not Michael's place in Holmby Hills.

We're told the Jackson family is pulling out all the stops to recreate a "normal" school environment -- they're even building a school yard, complete with a volleyball court, so the kids can enjoy P.E. time. The kids will also go on field trips and have a designated "lunch hour" in between classes.

This isn't news. Latoya said they would be homeschooled over a month ago and that they would be following the curriculum of a local private school.

I thought Sister Rose who went to Vegas with them is their tutor and tutors the other grandkids so I don't think she is keeping the old tutor. The kids were tutored for 6 hours each day when Michael was alive with a lunch hour at 1230 according to the chef so none of this is a change. They also went on field trips to museums, etc.

Since this is an unnamed source I am going to go with what ACTUAL people have said.

Good for them. The last thing they need is to be more tabloid fodder by having to live out another big change in their young lives in front of the camera's glare. God bless the Jackson family for taking care of their own. And I hope they all (even LaToya) make loads of money just to spite the haters. Ha!

Btw, home schooling rocks! And, the family filled 31 limos and suvs. Those kids have plenty of playmates.

Probably the smartest way to go. Think about it... would YOU want to be Jackson's kid and attend a building with a thousand kids? Its hard enough for regular kids.. the torcher these ones would endure would be astronomical. They would be running home crying daily. Seriously.

A good decision AT LAST! These children are not yet ready to interact with others ... Michael must be very happy!

A good education does not exclude the need for normal social development. The loss of peer interaction from an early age will never be replaced. They will always consider themselves to be separate from society, like their father. Each child will have to try to deal with eventual conflicts, cruelty, and the perils of teen society. Isolating them from the community will amplify these experiences and just make them avoid others more. Unfortunately, wealth enables you to escape and avoid society. You can travel the world, and still be trapped by the perception that you are priveleged and special. Truth is, we are all unique and worth knowing. I hope the kids rebel and get out into free society, away from their weird family.

Who cares?

The Jackson family does not want them in a "school" due to the fact, that they will have to constanly defend the man that was their father! Life goes on and I for one amm tired of reading about these 3 children. Nudge me when they do something wonderful!

Thank God something that Michael wanted for his children is going to continue. He raised very bright children. I think keeping them in a routine that they are use to will enable them to continue to heal if at all possible. I can only imagine the bond they had with their precious daddy and it breaks my heart to know how much they hurt. God Bless the Jackson children, MJ and all us devoted fans.

Good to see they will remain home-schooled. Having them in a private or public school would not be the answer at this time. As you can see on this site alone, far too many mean-spirited, thoughtless people out there - kids can be cruel and would taunt them, the cameras would be flashing ... it would be so disruptive and even cruel. They have lots of interaction with other kids and adults - they are going to be just fine. I'm quite positive they will be well-adjusted, exceedingly clever and well educated by the time they reach adulthood. The only thing that will hurt them are the very same jokes, rumors and speculations about their father that is found right here in the comments to these posts. But I'm sure Michael already started grooming them to ignore the nonsense and I'm sure the family will continue to teach coping skills. Hang in there kids, "keep the faith" and know that your father is watching over you from above.

If this happens to be true. It's a good decision on their part. It is too early for this kids to be exposed to that environment. They have gone thru too much in little time. Maybe next year would be good. For now they need to have time to adjust to their new lifestyle.

Mia : SO tell me , at your place of business are you the exact same age as everyone else that you work with ? Do you only deal with people that are your age in your life ? Schools are set up that way . The children are not losing peer interaction . They are receiving that in ways that are perhaps different than what you are used to . Studies have shown us that teh majority of iome schooled children are actually more well adjusted than their so called same aged peers in government schools.

Do not underestimate the situation. It has been reported that these children were taught by a college staff that Michael Jackson hired. Therefore, the children are going to be well educated.

This picture makes the kids look like Afghan refugees. http://wwww.thedrunkcanuck.com was reporting the kids are going to be attending a private school in Brooklyn.

Mia,
You're an idiot that doesn't know the
first thing about a homeschooling environment.
