3. Ellen is mean and snarky all the time. Still doesn't qualify her to be a judge on a music talent show. And for god's sake why do they keep giving jobs to people who already have jobs? Pretty soon every show on television is going to be hosted by Ellen, Ryan or Oprah.

Ellen has a nice car. I am jealous. She gets paid more than all the combined lifely income of TMZ commenters in a mere year, I bet. Good for her.
She's a funny lady. Most pop stars know less about music than she does, so I don't see it as a pre-requisite to have a background in music to judge. It's not rocket science.
