Serena -- Over the Line, Then WAY Over the Line

If Serena Williams was going to be penalized because of a body part -- you wouldn't think it would be her foot.

But after getting called for a foot fault at the U.S. Open last night, Serena channeled her inner John McEnroe and went off on the line judge that made the call. Since she was already penalized for breaking her racket earlier, the outburst cost her a point -- and it just happened to be match point at the time, so she lost!

Hey, at least she made things interesting.

6. Selena should have been taught MANNERS instead of wasting all her time as a kid playing that sissy so-called sport tennis.

What a sore loser. She wasn't gonna wins anyway.

DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

7. If anyone of us would have done that at our "real" jobs we would have been fired and escorted out by the security guards. Once again a athlete who cant control their emotions.

8. Was to go judge! If I was the judge, I would have needed to change my pants. That's a 6'2 amazon woman coming at someone who looks 4 foot nothing who is simply doing her job.

10. THIS IS WORLD CLASS COMPETITION. NOBODY SHOULD WIN A MAJOR INT'L TITLE w/a PENALTY -- LET ALONE TWO.
The first may have been justified; but so was Serena's outburst about it. EVERYBODY has the right to COMPLAIN --look at the GOP.
IF THE JUDGES WANTED TO SANCTION SERENA --THEY SHOULD HAVE FINED HER for the second "bad temper" penalty. FINE HER like the NBA, NFL, etc.
BUT: ALLOW the match to continue UNTIL A REAL WINNER is actually determined by the GAME THEY PLAY.
NOT the tantrums anybody has. What a sad way to back into a world title. THERE SHOULD BE A PERMANENT ASTERISK (*) next to the THIS YEAR'S WOMAN'S WINNER.

11. Well, that was certainly entertaining to watch. I think people are being too hard on her. How many of you can say that you've never had a bad moment in your life? It happens. Get over it.

12. Typical...she proves that you can be as good as she is, but, have an off day, and she let her frustration get the best of her. No ones going to remember the person who played better and whipped her butt, they will only remember that she lost on a violation. I thought tennis was suppose to be a "polite" sport...then suspend her for a few months and see how she feels. Her and her sister have become divas. She's gettin' old and probably isn't as good as she was. Sad...sports people just can't handle slowing down and reaching the end of their careers, being out of the spotlight. Waaaaaaaaaaa....too f'ing bad.
