When exactly is it time to accept them as having "arrived" again? And you're right, if she were to die tomorrow people would cry and moan and go out and buy her albums so they could pretend to have owned them all along as though a true fan just to hop on the bandwagon with everyone else a la Michael Jackson.

Sick society we are living in...same thing goes with Lindsay Lohan. She hasn't done anything worse than Robert Downey, Jr. (except engage in a same sex relationship maybe?) and she is castigated till the cows come home. If this girl dies people will moan about the talent lost, blah, blah, blah.

Whitney's voice sounds hoarse and from the looks of the GMA 2 weeks ago, not sure if she goes on tour she won't be singing off tracks.........hmmmmm! I thought Oprah's interviewing was horrible,I thought she was about to ARREST WHITNEY FOR PAST DRUG ABUSE........Dang!!! Oprah acts soooooooooo "miss holy-er-than-thou"

And Oprah's been boasting that this is the best interview of her career??? She interrupted Whitney and spoke for her through half of the interview! And making light of ANY of the horrible stories that Whitney was telling - as Oprah did - is just bizarre and wrong!

She needs to quit now while people still even recognize her name. She'll be known forever amongst true R&B vocalists as the "crossover queen". America ate it up as did Clive. And they're trying another round? Times are really hard here in this country. I remember seeing here on the Grammy's back in the 80's and she literally stuck her finger right in her nose at the podium. I wondered at the time what this country had bowed to.

Many Blacks will be waving the flag but most of you referred to her as "Whitey" back in the day because she couldn't dance and "crossed over". This thing was a mess from day one with Arista and then dug her own grave with Bobbay.

Money is the object though.

I think Whitney nailed that interview..she was honest, poised, well spoken, in control, and has a completely new lease on life. all the money and fame doesn't change the fact that she is a human being who made horrible mistakes who was deeply troubled and abused. Seeing her story was inspiring. As a mother I felt joy knowing her mother's love for her was a critical point in her turning her life around and now she would be the same light in her own daughetr's life. I don't understand all the negativity on the board. Don't choose to knock people down and be jealous of their success rather strive to raise them up and celebrate thier triumphs.

Oh GAG ME!!! Here she cries to "Mommy O" about Bobby spitting in her face...yet she failed to say if she deserved it. (which I suspect she DID!!!!!!)
