**I am responsible for the long post above & apologize for not "breaking it up into paragraphs. I usually fo that but hit the send button wihout finishing & being able to proofread it. With the following, I believe I will have said everything I needed to say. I know it's long but considering all the "smart-asses" on here who want to comment about addiction(a topic which they probably know very little about), I had a lot to say. I wanted to say this once finally & get it off my chest. I hope you read it, consider it, open your mind. Being an addict(in recovery) I've had to read a lot of "crappy" & unfair things since DJ AM,& MJ died & felt I needed to get this out of me. I came on here & almost half of all the comments were negative & derogatory toward addicts. That was just pretty much "it" for me. I hope you consider what I have to say. For those of you who have posted positive messages & well-wishes, "Thank You" on behalf of every addict, you'll never know how much it's appreciated after seeing "all the addicts on these pages lately; people just like me get "BEAT Up" & unfairly judged. Saw all these a..holes in one place & just felt I wanted to finally say something. If you read it, I hope it makes you think about addiction ,addict, how many of us are out there, & how many of us are reading these things. After awhile it's like somebody "making jokes about your mother, you know?" Get's old. If you get nothing from it? Well, then I will have at least had an opportunity to vent & never "darken your door" with my opinions again; even though some of you "pr#cks" have "darkened mine"!!

I HAVE BITTEN MY LIP TIME AFTER TIME, NOT SAYING ANYTHING REGARDING SOME OF THE THINGS I HAVE SEEN WRITEN ABOUT ADDICTION & ADDICT'S IN GENERAL. I HAVE REALLY REFRAINED FROM TRYING TO LECTURE, OR TRY TO "EDUCATE" ANYONE, PARTICULARLY IF THEY DIDN'T "ASK" FOR MY OPINION OR ADVICE. HOWEVER, I'M FEELING THE NEED & PROMISE TO ONLY DO IT ONCE. PLEASE BEAR WITH ME & IF POSSIBLE; TRY TO UNDERSTAND, OPEN YOUR MIND, & "TAKE SOMETHING I SAY WITH YOU" IF YOU CAN? I HAVE SOME REAL UGLINESS HERE REGARDING ADDICTS WITH THE RECENT DEATHS OF DJ AM & MJ, POSTED HERE, AS WELL AS, A LOT OF MISINFORMATION! I HAVE BEEN IN RECOVERY FOR 17 YEARS. I'M A "BIG GIRL" & CAN HANDLE MYSELF & ANY "COMMENTS" ANYONE IS WILLING TO THROW MY WAY OVER THIS; BUT IT'S ONLY BECAUSE I HAVE WORKED VERY HARD AT REBUILDING MY SELF-ESTEEM & AM RELATIVELY "CONFIDENT" IN WHO I AM & HOW FAR I'VE COME! I'VE HAD TO PUT UP WITH THIS SAME BS "NASTINESS" OVER THESE LAST 17 YEARS & EVENTUALLY, IF YOU DON'T "CAVE-IN" & INTERNALIZE THESE PEOPLE'S "VERBAL DIARRHEA", YOU DEVELOP A PRETTY "THICK SKIN". WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW THOUGH, IS TO THE ADDICT WHO IS "NEW" TO RECOVERY, WHAT YOU SAY IS DEVASTATING & "CUTS THEM TO THEIR VERY SOUL"!! I'VE BEEN THERE. IT HURTS WHEN YOU NEED SUPPORT & CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE "HATES AT YOU" & REFUSES TO UNDERSTAND OR SUPPORT YOU! THESE PEOPLE NEED YOUR SUPPORT. IF YOU CAN'T "SUPPORT" THEM, THEN CAN YOU RESIST THE URGE TO "INTENTIONALLY HURT THEM"? RECOVERING IS HARD & "HUMILIATING" ENOUGH. WE'RE TRYING TO MAKE AMENDS EARLY ON IN RECOVERY FOR THE THINGS WE'VE DONE TO THE PEOPLE WE LOVE & CARE ABOUT AS IT IS! WE ARE TRYING TO "CLEAN UP OUR OWN MESS"! WE DON'T ASK YOU TO HELP US WITH THAT, ALL WE ASK IS THAT YOU NOT "PILE ON THE SHAME, HIGHER & DEEPER, THAN IT ALREADY IS FOR US". I HOPE EVERYONE PLEASE BE WILLING TO "HEAR" WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY. I KNOW THE "STRUGGLE" ADDICTS FACE & KNOW THE ODDS ARE STACKED AGAINST THEM(AND ME.) 8 OUT OF 10 ADDICTS "DON'T" MAKE IT! WHY DO YOU NEED TO MAKE IT HARDER?? PLEASE RECONSIDER, NEXT TIME SOME OF YOU GET THE URGE TO THOUGHTLESSLY POST SOME OF THESE THINGS. WHAT IF THESE THINGS WERE BEING SAID ABOUT YOUR BROTHER, SISTER, MOTHER, OR FATHER?
