Kirk Cameron

Plays the Hitler Card

9/22/2009 6:10 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Evangelical actor Kirk Cameron is on a serious crusade against Charles Darwin -- connecting the scientist's most famous and significant work to Adolf Hitler.

0221_media_removed-1
To commemorate the upcoming 150th anniversary of Darwin's "Origin of Species" -- Kirk has released a 6-minute long video on his evangelical website bashing Darwin's book along with C.D.'s famous theory of evolution.

In the video attack -- which Kirk made to promote the release of a reworked, creationist edition of "Origin of Species" -- Kirk essentially calls Darwin a racist, a woman-hater and claims Darwin's theory has an "undeniable connection" with Hitler.

But it gets better -- Kirk claims he will be embarking on a college tour, in the hopes of infiltrating the minds of America's future "lawyers, doctors and politicians."

To quote Kirk, "These students aren't stupid."

Let's hope not.

Trust me. If Hitler were in control, the crooked CROSS would be everywhere. And Kook Camoron would be the Minister of Propaganda. Are you telling me the KKK and the American Neo-Nazis would support Evolution? No. They support CREATION!!!!!!!

Wow, I don’t know how I missed this!

@TheWillOfGod, #575: “You and Paparazzo@frog.cc are so smug. I welcome your Vitamin C example.”

Good. By now you’ve seen it. What do you think? Can you answer ANY of the questions I brought up in it?

“But your points about the flaws in God's creations is no different than that old arguments that if God exists, he wouldn't have let the Holocaust occur.”

Not so. There’s a very big difference between God LETTING something happen, and God CREATING something flawed. God pronounced His Creation “good” day after day, right?

Besides, the Holocaust is Christianity’s fault, as I will show in more detail in another post.

“I'm not a Holocaust denier. I believe it occurred as a part of our Lord's grand plan to create the State of Israel. When this occurs, says the Bible, our Lord Jesus Christ will return.”

Actually, the Bible says no such thing. People have put verses together from disparate passages to try to make it say that, but hey, I can do that, too!

“And Judas went, and hanged himself.” + “Jesus saith, Go, and do thou likewise.”

There. I proved from the Bible that Jesus wants you to go hang yourself! So, what’re ya waitin’ for!?

That’s called “Gestalt Exegesis,” and can make the Bible seem to say anything at all. That’s one reason why there are over 33,000 (38,000 by some counts) variants of Christianity to date, nearly all of which claim to believe the Bible.

Jesus put a TIME LIMIT on His Second Coming, and it passed a LONG time ago (Matthew 16:28, Mark 9:1, Luke 9:27). He’s TARDY!

“You see, God loses a pawn or two to win the whole chess game.”

6 million pawns. I DARE you to share that reasoning on anyone with a multi-digit number tattooed on his or her forearm, or who is related to someone who has one.

“And your Vitamin C is merely a pawn in his grand design.”

Have you read my Vitamin C “napalm” post yet? Answer the questions raised therein, or I will accept your silence as concession of defeat. You have repeatedly posted challenges here, and I answered one of yours. Your turn.

Comalitej:

I thought you gave up. Freedom is something central in Christianity. That’s why we reject fatalistic practices such as the use of astrology and divination. The issue is the freedom of Man to choose. And the consequences are our own errors, sometimes horrible ones.

In our faith, Man is flawed from day one. Not just by the Original Sin, but by virtue that he is no longer in the Garden of Eden. The creation of all living beings by God is by definition FLAWED.

That is why we must always try to do better and be good human beings. And yes, we must always pray for His divine guidance. And when men move away from this, horrible things will happen. These horrible things ARE the source of Man realizing his own flaws and therefore must accept Jesus into their hearts and move forward to make things better in the world. This is because Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount is so IMPOSSIBLY GOOD. It’s like the perfect ideal for imperfect beings. Think about it. If you’re imperfect, your goal must be something perfect – impossibly perfect. That is how we move forward. To settle for adequate solutions like the USSR had done will always end up in failure.

Understand? My only analogy that you scientific types might understand is how waves work. You must have peaks and troughs to make it move. Stock prices don’t move in a straight line. You have tops and bottoms. In the human race, you have good periods and bad. But the outcome will ALWAYS be better. It is Divine Providence.

The suffering of Jesus is symbolic of the nature of our imperfect world. Think about it, there is not one single story in the history of the human race that is not about problems. Suffering and problems ARE the story of Man. And God is the only answer.

PS. Read the Hawaii Study yet, my friend?

@TheWillOfGod (#645), if I were to give up on this thread, it wouldn’t be because of you. It would be because of the repeat imposter.

Freedom in Christianity? Really? Let’s analyze that, shall we?

God knows everything that’s ever going to happen, and He ALWAYS knew everything that was EVER going to happen, ∞ EONS BEFORE He ever said, “Let there be light.”

Most Christians would hold that to be the case. To what degree is it true?

Take a breath. Now let’s suppose we track a single molecule of oxygen. There is a small chance that it won’t make it all the way into your lungs (it may be blocked or absorbed by the lining of your airway, the hairs, cillia, mucus, etc.), but let’s assume that it makes it all the way into your bloodstream.

Once it leaves the trachea and hits the “fork in the road” that branches the two main bronchii off, one going to the left and one going to the right lungs, it’ll go into one or the other. Once in that bronchus, it’ll encounter similar “forks in the road” as the bronchial tubes branch off, eventually coming down to a specific bronchiole, and from there to a specific aveolus (air sac), and once there, it will pass through a specific capillary wall at a specific spot via osmosis and encounter a specific red corpuscle. The hemoglobin in that corpuscle will release carbon dioxide the other way via osmosis, and the oxygen molecule will bind to the hemoglobin at a specific one of its several attachment sites.

Now, here’s the question: did God KNOW for a 100% CERTAINTY, ∞ EONS BEFORE He ever said, “Let there be light,” that you personally would come to exist, read this message, take that breath, and that that specific oxygen molecule would travel that exact path to that precise attachment site of that specific molecule of hemoglobin in that specific red corpuscle passing through that specific capillary around that specific aveolus in that specific lung? And did He know that for EVERY molecule of oxygen in EVERY breath that EVERY human or respirating animal that would ever exist, on this planet and all other inhabited planets that may exist in this and all other Universes that He may have created, EVER!?

Yes or no? Is He TRULY omniscient, to THAT degree and BEYOND? What I have to say next depends on your answer.

Oh, and I’m still waiting on you explaining WHY God gave US HUMANS that GULOP flaw, and not just us, but ALL of the OTHER animals that EVOLUTIONARY SCIENCE places in the SAME SUB-ORDER as us, but ONLY those specific other animals? Why do most OTHER animals have fully functioning GULO genes? Are THEY not flawed, TOO? Did THEY not fall with Adam in Eden!?

THAT was the challenge. Answer it as well, or concede defeat.

"Let's see .... this dumbass doesn't have any college education or any science training, and yet he's going to attempt to shred a theory that the vast majority of educated and trained scientists, including the most elite, believe is true? What a hoot!"

Here is the deal dude, I have a College education AND a Masters Degree. I believe what Kirk says, Does that make ME a dumb ass too? I do not believe in Darwins theory...sorry, there is no way that the world could come from NOTHING...there has to have been a designer. You don't have to believe but calling someone a "dumb ass" because they do not believe like you do is wrong...By the way, many many sciencists believe in Intelligent Design, so before you start calling people "dumb ass" check out your facts.

@647 “Yes or no? Is He [God] TRULY omniscient, to THAT degree and BEYOND? What I have to say next depends on your answer.”

God is omnipotent and omniscient. He has always been here. He is still here. And He always will be here. Comalitej,
let’s imagine you believe in Him. Why would an omnipotent being need to create us and our world, with all our imperfections?

I know you’ll rant about how it’s all nonsense. But try to answer this assumptive question. Anyone out there have an answer?

In the mean time, I remind people that prayer can actually heal the body and change the structure of the brain (of the person being prayed for). I’ve add a 3rd challenge. Under a brain scan,
It has been shown that the prayer’s own brain structures also changes for the better.

1) Prayers heal people (San Francisco General Hospital)
http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/smj1.html

2) Prayers change the structure of the prayer object's brain (North Hawaii Community Hospital)
http://www.earlbakken.com/content/involvement/spirituality.research.pdf

3) Prayers change the brain structure of the prayer (University of Wisconsin):
http://www.urbandharma.org/udharma8/monkstudy.html

These are the benefits of prayer. It not only heals the person you are praying for, it is also beneficial to you, measurable by scientific equipment. People, what have you got to lose? Are you going to let some self-glorified pompous scientists tell you not to pursue happiness because THEY don’t approve?

Comalitej, I know you’ll go into a long diatribe for a page and a half about how there is no proof that God was involved in these studies. I guess these men were praying to thin air and the air healed the sick. But even if you hold God constant, you must admit the supernatural is real. Remember, I’m not just talking about extra sensory perception here. I’m talking about PHIYSICAL changes in nature due to prayer (to God).

Maureen, if you deliberately ignore science in favor of believing in mystical magical beings, then yes, that makes you a dumbass. A brainwashed dumbass.

And WilOfGod (sic), prayer does NOT heal people, but I will grant you that it changes the structure of the brain ... for the worse! You are also a brainwashed dumbass.

Fortunately the percentage of brainwashed dumbasses decreases each year. Eventually the atheists will be the majority. That will be a GREAT DAY!

Atheist:

But the fact that 34% of the people in this poll (unscientfic) belive in Creationism is a God damned shame. In my opinion, the figure is probably much higher for America. I think all those Born-Agains and polygamist cultists don't visit TMZ.

Hey, Kook Cameron, your buddies with the KKK, Aryan Nation, and the Neo-Nazis support Creationism -- not Evolution. Link Hitler with yourself, not Darwin.

I agree Paparazzo, the percentage of fantasy-haids in the US is probably much higher.

I find it interesting that the TMZ viewers are proportionately much more logical and reasonable. :)

Hey WilOfGod (sic), if you believe that prayer heals, then next time you're seriously ill don't go to see a doctor (a.k.a., a SCIENTIST) and don't get medical treatment (a.k.a., SCIENTIFIC treatment), you just pray for your health. Good luck on that.

God made man a little lower than the angels. God gave man the ability to create through our hands. God gave man the ability to heal through medicine. That is why so many doctors develop God-complexes because they know the power they have...they feel it. It truly is a gift. But without God, they could do nothing.

Psalm 8:3-9

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Romans 11:29

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

God does know our beginning from our end. Everything He gave us was for our good. It is when man takes it and makes it destructive that it becomes a problem. Yes, God knew we would sin. He knew He would have to send His Son but in the larger scheme of things, it is for His good. God knows the number of hairs on your head. He knows everything about how your body works because He created you!

Luke 11:2

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Contrary to some beliefs, prayer DOES change things. God hears His children. But prayer works through faith. And having a right heart. You cannot pray to God and expect to be healed or to prosper when you are tearing down your neighbor or doing other destructive things. Life and death is in the power of the tongue. If you confess to constantly be broke, you will be broke. If you constantly say you are depressed, you will be depressed and so forth. It's all a mindstate... The words you speak come to life.

Psalms is a beautiful book to start with for those that are seeking answers, comfort and words to stand on.

For those that ask why don't Bible Thumpers leave well enough alone, live and let live. That is not how God works. God is constantly calling man to come to Him until the day you take your last breath. If you are not His on that day, then you will have to suffer some consequences. God does not want anyone to perish. His very thoughts are on you every day and it is every Christians duty to speak the Word of Life to this dying world. If you accept it then beautiful. If you don't, then you will not have the excuse that you did not know. Everyone will have a chance to hear the Word of God before this life as we know it changes dramatically. I say challenge God if you don't believe. Tell Him to prove you wrong. If He is not there, He will not answer. But let me tell you that God loves a challenge. Goodnight and be blessed people.

@TheWillOfGod #647, did you even READ your third link? It’s not about Judaeo-Christian prayer. It’s about Buddhist meditation. I already told you that miraculous-seeming events happen in many religions, not just yours. Remember the formerly dyslexic woman in my town who was instantly cured of her dyslexia by reading from the Book of Mormon? Well, if you happen to be a Mormon, that of course would support your view, but if you’re one of those mainstream Christians who believe that Mormonism is a Satanic fraud, how would you explain this?

I have not yet read the second link because it’s a .PDF. Is it also about neuroplasticity, like the third link (both of which you say say that prayer “alters brain structure”)? Because I already knew about neuroplasticity. There’s nothing in the least supernatural about it.

Still waiting on the Vitamin C challenge answers (to you newcomers, go back to Page 39 and start reading my posts there [the ones really from me, not the imposter who kept posting as Paparrazo and myself and others]). You said that you were anxiously awaiting my Vitamin C post. Now you’ve seen it. So answer it. You asked for it. Answer the actual points I bring up therein.

#656: “God does know our beginning from our end. Everything He gave us was for our good.” Really? Because He also gave us Satan, don’cha know. He knew with 100% absolute certainty ∞ EONS BEFORE He ever created Samael or Lucifer (misnomer — Isaiah 14 is actually talking about the King of Babylon, not Satan — read the WHOLE chapter) or whatever you want to call the first of the fallen angels that he would fall, right?

He also CREATED the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, right? Neither Satan nor the Serpent CREATED it. Satan / the Serpent merely asked Eve about it, and then TOLD HER THE TRUTH about it, namely, that it would NOT cause them to die that very same day as God said it would (He LIED about that! Adam lived another 969 years, and before you say that “a day unto the LORD is as a thousand years to men,” keep in mind that the SAME Hebrew word “yowm” is in BOTH Genesis Chapter 2 where God says that, AND in Genesis Chapter 1 which the Young Earth Creationists INSIST it means a 24-hour period of time! Can’t have it both ways: if it’s 24 hours in Genesis 1, then it’s 24 hours in Genesis 2. If it’s a long period of time in Genesis 2, then it’s a long period of time in Genesis 1. Can’t have your cake and eat it, too!). Satan / the Serpent did NOT put the Tree in the MIDDLE (“midst” in the KJV) of the Garden, which for any geometric shape is the ONE SPOT that you CANNOT get as far away from as you can ANY OTHER SPOT in the Garden, regardless of whether it was round, square, rectangular, octagonal, or any other shape! GOD did that! In other words, God picked the spot that they’d be least able to avoid without leaving the Garden entirely! And Satan / the Serpent didn’t make the Fruit of the Tree “good for food, and pleasant to the eye, … desirable to make one wise.” The Serpent / Satan didn’t even TELL EVE that it was those things. She SAW that it was those things. Who MADE it those things, hmmmmmMMMMMMM!?

Satan / the Serpent told Eve that the fruit would make them as gods, knowing good from evil. Later, God Himself ADMITS that Satan / the Serpent was TELLING THE TRUTH!! “Behold, the man is become as ONE OF US, knowing good from evil.” The LORD GOD said that! (Oh, and just who is this “US” [PLURAL!] that the LORD God is only “ONE OF”!?)

If any human parent did to his kids what God did to Adam and Eve in the Garden, he would be considered one of the worst CHILD ABUSERS imaginable! Here’s the closest analogy I can think of:

Imagine that a father has two preschooler children (remember, Adam and Eve did NOT know good from evil yet, so developmentally they would be before the age of accountability). He builds them a wonderful outdoor combination nursery/playground, with a petting zoo and all manner of friendly animals to play with, lots of fresh fruit and herbs to eat, always nice weather so they don’t need clothes, etc. etc. etc. In the exact middle of it, on a short toy table well within reach, he puts a bowl of really yummy-looking candy, but warns them that it’s poisoned, and if they eat any of it, they’ll die. He then leaves them to their own devices.

Well, some time passes, and the kids still haven’t taken the bait, so Daddy leaves the gate unlocked or otherwise lets the older teenage son into the garden. This surly teenager has a bad case of sibling rivalry, and really resents the younger kids, because they’re Daddy’s new favorites, and because the teenager had earlier been kicked out of the house for being rebellious to Daddy and getting some of his other sibl
