Rev. Al's Raw Deal -- Sharpton Gets Booed

9/29/2009 2:02 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Apparently wrestling fans aren't too keen on fighting ignorance and illiteracy, because as soon as Rev. Al Sharpton stepped into the ring at Monday Night Raw to promote his education reform tour ... all he heard was "Boooooooo!"

Al Sharpton: Click to watch
On a positive note, maybe they were all just chanting "Booooooks."

They cheered him cause he made a "match".

They were booing the hell out of him, no one wanted him there.

"Thats hitting close to home
when you say wrestling fan and illiteracy in the same sentence. I'm sure the average red-neck fan of wrestling has a 5th grade education and their sister is also their aunt, and their uncle is also their half-brother."

It never occurred to me that wrestling fans are rednecks, considering I'm not one, I'm in 11th grade and there is no incest going on in my family... - Some people just don't understand. It's sad, really.

LOL

Hilarious writing!! Everybody's got to admit this is TMZ in one of its finer moments. :P And remember folks, the wrestling crowd is a cross section of our country, a slice of what most of America is like. (yikes....)

Since Obama is President we are seeing more and more black political figures coming out to defend their own kind. Not suprising really as it´s clearly part of Obama´s agenda. So here we have Sharpton coming to preach at this event and getting booed because he´s not fooling anyone.

As for education, why doesn´t he start with educating minority kids about the perils of materialism... after all, they may not have books to read but they most likely have a pair of Nike´s or a gaming console. Of course it´s easier to blame it on the system or worse, to blame it on white´s and their supposed supremacy. Blacks are the architects of their own misfortune, yet they hold everybody else, except themselves, responsible.

He is a racist a$$! Wasn't there a police officer arresting a black man somewhere? Rev. Al will call a press conference if a white person orders black beans! Tosser!

I think you got it backwards they are fighting ignorance and illiteracy, by boooing Al , he makes his living off of ignorant & illiterate blacks who are slaves to the Government.

It's probably another Government funded program. They will find 10 children say they tought them to read (wether or not they already could) and get millions of dollers for costs. How do you think him and jesse make a living? They blackmail companies and guilt and blackmail the government to keep their pockets full.

So The audience booed the Rev. Al. Don't they know that the tv media doesn't share their view of one half of the Justice Brothers. That they must be prejudice because you can't boo a person of another color. That it could not possible be that he is an incompetent ass. The only reason he helping kids to read is he has found an angle to make money off of it. Since the first time he appeared on TV nothing has changed. Just another squeeking wheel that they listen to.
