Palms Casino Announces DJ AM's Replacement

Nearly a month after his death, the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas has revealed who's taking over the turntables DJ AM once helmed -- DJ Z-Trip.

The coveted Friday spot at Rain Nightclub at the Palms now belongs to Z -- who was named America's Best DJ of 2009 by DJ Times.

Z's first show will take place on October 16th, 2009.

7. Wow, they still aren't booking a real DJ for this slot? DJ AM was a horrible DJ -- ask any dance music producer out there. He only got the gig because of his long term relationship with drug dealers who had been financing clubs he played in over the years. So sad. I guess you live by the pill, you die by the pill.

15. Hey #7 you are just probably one of those haters that has no clue about music. And you are the one probably getting coked up to all that trance music... AM was an unreal DJ that played everything. Anyone can mix two songs. To do what he did as an artist was unbelievable to watch.
