Paper work is always a bitch -- and now DJ AM's estate is correcting a minor error that accidentally made the guy out to be one hell of a real estate tycoon!
It's all over papers filed in L.A. County Superior Court last month, which stated AM's real estate property generated $3.5 million PER YEAR.
But the estate now claims they goofed a little bit -- and should've stated that the total value of his real estate property was $3.5 mil.
The estate also noted that AM had a serious debt -- $2.9 million.
But on top of his real estate, AM had another $400,000 in "personal property." So after all of the math, the value of AM's estate stands at a cool $1,000,000.

Well Ma ,,It looks like you'll end up with a few bucks after the lawyers chew off their portion....Good Luck
More Michael Jackson news, please!!!!!! But, anyway, DJ AM was a human being and it is said he died. So, rest in peace!!!!
A million dollars net for basically just playing CDs of OTHER people's music ...... not a bad payday in the end.
Not bad for a guy whose only talent was operating a record player
He was doing better than the Gosselins. Sure Jon G will find a way to dip his hands into AM's account before the week is over...
I don't get it - how do people worth $3.5 million owe $2.9 million? Why don't these people have to pay their bills or taxes like the rest of us? The rest of us miss one payment and it's a federal case. How does a D.J. make milions of dollars anyway? Our priorities are really out of whack - teachers, police, firefighters, soldiers don't make enough to buy a house and a D.J. can be worth milions and not even pay his bills - and he's so depressed that he has to drown his sorrows in drugs. Roxy, to answer your question .... because people who make 3.5 million dollars live like they're making 4.5 million dollars. Not unlike most Americans who make ie: $60,000 and live like they're making $75,000. It's the great American way. Spend what you make ... plus a little bit more!
A crackhead is able to amass a million dollar fortune. Kids, forget all about a college education, smoke crack and spin records, it obviously pays.
