Ice-T -- My Friend Died from Swine Flu

Swine flu has been the ammunition for a lot of jokes recently, but last night, Ice-T reminded everyone why it's still a serious issue -- it killed someone close to him.

The rapper and his wife Coco were walking into a Star Magazine party at Bardot last night -- where Ice told TMZ he didn't realize the severity of the illness until recently, when one of his friends caught it and died.

Its actually not the H1N1 (swine) flu thats killed people per se...its the complications, one of which is pneumonia and its nothing to f*** with. Having your lungs fill with fluid is no joke.

That is sad. My daughter just got over the H1N1 flu. It was actually not as bad as I was expecting expecting it to be despite the fact she has asthma.She had the seasonal flu 2 years ago and she missed a week of school with it.With this flu instead of running fevers as high as 104 for four days she only ran a fever for 48 hours.When she tested positve I opted not to give her Tamiflu since it only shortens symptoms by 3/4 of a day but I did use Oscillococcinum(I swear by that stuff and since it does not taste bad it is easy to give to kids). I am thankful my daughter was able to shake it but I am sorry for all the families and friends who have lost loved ones to this flu.
